Hi Guys, not posted for a while but thought I should mention this.

I live near Glasgow, 10 miles south west and over the last few days its been clear blue sky's.

Yesterday while taken in the sun I noticed a planes vapour trail coming from the North, then U turning and heading back North. never seen a plane trail leaving a U turn before so I mentioned it to my son who came out to look at it.

Later on I was on facebook and there was a few people putting up pictures of the trail from as far North as Oban and South as the borders but some who is more in the know than me put a map up of the flight plan of the aeroplane that left the trail and it looks like it did a couple of figure eights over the length of Scotland then headed east over northern Europe.

Just seemed a bit strange to me

Vambo I live in Ayrshire and saw this as well. It was roughly 5pm and the aircraft had made 2 large sweeping turns like 2 large U shapes right next to each other over the Arran coast. I know pilot training is sometimes held a Prestwick Airport but the height this plane was at didn't look like other training exercises I have saw.

Yes, that thick fog this morning too, and everyone I spoke to either tired or had a sore head.

Seen it myself vambo. Daily record reported it being a private jet. Happend again today. I stay on the coast (Greenock area) and it so happens to be near vaslane where there's meant to be a no fly zone.
