this is going to sound dead weird i was replying to a post about government agencies or higher hacking in to your phone/laptop last night, what i wrote was afew months ago i watched a youtube whistlebower on either avalon/project camelot basicly saying once people are are awoken and know there world is not what it seems(a bit like the matrix)they get dragged bk in to the normal rat race problems like health/money probs/loved ones/jobs etc etc in other words to take there mind of the bigger picture, anyway i was watching loads of alien/twin towers conspiracy and it was then i went public to freinds and family about everything i belived(i kept it to myself uselly) and i started writing a lot more on this site and avalon anyway one night wife went to bed and left her phone downstairs for a change,i got a text of her slagging me off to her sister(nothing new there lol)but like i said her phone was still in the same room as me when i got the text,anyway i thought it must be a glitch , she might have sent it ages ago and it took its time to get threw to her sister and she sent it to me by mistake, so the next morning i pulled her up about it and she said she has not sent any text to her sister about me, cut a long story short, she blamed me that i sent a text of her phone to my phone and slagged myself off to cause a argument lol ffs it was frigging weird it took a few weeks untill we made up, a lot of drama over a mobile phone over a text i never sent and a text she never sent, and i do believe she never sent a text,then i had problems with my wi fi i phoned my isp (virgin media) and the technician said have u turned this on and that on etc anyways no joy, so he said he can look at my pc remotely from hes call center, i gave him permission and it was dead weird him looking in to my files and moving my mouse from a call center in scotland, if a mainstream company like virgin media can do it what can black projects can do now? makes you think eh?

anyway last night i wrote all this and posted it, deffo thought i posted it edd it was about 11 40pm ish edd then after posting it my laptop turns itself off i eventully get it bk on but my wireless wont work infact its still buggered now, have had to use the earthnet to go online, coincedence prob but deffo very weird, and btw i am not making anything up or exagerating, can u check edd if anything got sent from me last night.
frankyscouse {Ed001's Note - nothing that you sent in has been deleted, I have checked with the other editors. If you can't see your posts, then they haven't reached us.}

Here's some food for thought , what would we all do if the internet was
switched off ? I think it's unlikely but not impossible , taking in the governments u-turn on "becoming less big brother" < David Cameron 2010 (though this ofcourse was never really a u-turn, as most people on here know ) and with William Hague inevitability upping the terror threat it's a
possibility , especially if anyything lije last years student riots kick-off again.
Remember that the net can be de-activated during a national emergency
,and what constitutes as a national emergency might suprise some
people i.e. storms , yeah a little bit of unseasonable weather and Bob's yer
big brother.

ORGANIZE !

What would we all do , mmm same as before the internet? i was perfectly fine without it so why would i not be now?
Agree · 1 · Disagree · 0
That's sort of what i'm getting at , people might want to consider sharing information and opinions in
in more conventional ways , if only as back-up...

Doubt the net would ever be switched off, the ruling families rake in billions from taxes from companies such as Facebook Google, Yahoo etc....

Do you think it is right for the goverment to have instant access to your phone call, GPS location, internet ect.

If Im thinking about it. its creepy.

It is definitly not right but could and it might already be happening

This has openly been used for many of years! If the Scum on Sunday can be closed down for using such technologies then imagine what technology the government have!

I think one reason alone is so the government can sell details and information to big companies regarding behaviour etc.

THE AUTHORITARIAN UK Government wants access to all emails, text messages and internet use and will propose sweeping snooping powers in legislation to give it that soon.

The bill will be announced during the Queen's speech and will give crime busting agencies like GCHQ, the government's central intelligence *cough* spying agency, MI5, the police and who knows else access to all of the emails, text messages and internet histories of everyone in the UK.

The Home Office claims that the legislation is necessary to "obtain communications data in certain circumstances to investigate serious crime and terrorism and to protect the public."

"We need to take action to maintain the continued availability of communications data as technology changes," said a spokesperson.

Accessible data will include the "time, duration and dialling numbers of a phone call, or an email address, but not the content of the phone call or email," it added. The spokesman said that the Government does not plan to make changes to the existing legal basis for the interception of communications.

"As set out in the Strategic Defence and Security Review we will legislate as soon as parliamentary time allows to ensure that the use of communications data is compatible with the Government's approach to civil liberties," it said.

Big Brother Watch, a civil liberties organisation, has already condemned the proposals and sniffed at their timing,

"This is an unprecedented step that will see Britain adopt the same kind of surveillance seen in China and Iran. This is an absolute attack on privacy online and it is far from clear this will actually improve public safety, while adding significant costs to internet businesses," said Nick Pickles, director of Big Brother Watch.

He asked, "If this was such a serious security issue why has the Home Office not ensured these powers were in place before the Olympics?"

The Pirate Party is also concerned about the powers, which it said would lead to more insecurity.

"This story looked for all the world like an April Fool's joke: Labour's plan for a massive surveillance programme that would dwarf anything dreamed up by the KGB, brought back to life by its opponents?," said Andrew Robinson, the founder of the Pirate Party UK.

Robinson said that the powers would be circumvented by those that the government would seek to detect, while opening up everyone else to unnecessary inspection.

"We're bound to hear the sinister justification that 'if you have nothing to hide, you have nothing to fear'. Well, the exact opposite is true in this case. If you do have something to hide, it's inevitably going to be trivially easy to avoid this surveillance system, through privacy systems like Tor, or simply by using foreign web servers," he added.

"If you're just an honest member of the public you have to fear not just the phenomenal multi-billion pound cost of the system, or the massive logistical and economic burdens that UK companies will have to cope with, but something far worse: The absolute certainty of leaks."

This is the sort of thing that came up during the riots last year, when intrusive police access to Twitter and Blackberry's BBM messaging tool was considered but not implemented. µ

Having working in cyprus and being paid by GCHQ, i can tell you now that the government already do this. Any phone call, txt or email that is sent containing certain keywords or phrases is automaticaly stored and looked at by analysts. The government say this new system will help prevent crime and terrorism, however the days of these types of people communicating by email and phone are long gone, these days terrorists create email address with both partys knowing the password, they type there msg in and save it as a draft, the other guy then logs on reads it and deletes it, no record of this can every be saved, also, as mentioned in the local press recently they are using online systems such as Call of duty to speak freely to each other without having to worry about being monitored, all in all the new system just sounds a complete waste of time and money!

some interview on youtube with ex-gangsta dave courtney got me thinking, he reckons (and i do) since the cain was banned and other corporal punishment was abolished it has led to a rise of anti social crime, which in turn has lead to government taking and taxing our civil liberties, i think he has a point, now u cant discipline your own child with a chance of getting charged for it, if your my age group you would have prob got the cain or slipper for messing around in school, then if your mum or dad found out you would get a crack of them as well, what courtney is saying is there is no one putting there child in line which in turn brings out a kid with no respect who might knife another kid which will bring a uproar for the government to change the law, its crazy, we have gone pc mad, its like the powers that be want a anti social country.

Well how come every young person is not involved in anti social behavior are you saying that any young person who stays out of trouble does so because the are smacked? no your not are you smacking or hitting our children or young people is a lazy way to teach them right from wrong there are parents out there who can communicate with their children positively to help them understand right from wrong {Ed007's Note - Is Dave Courtney really the type of person you should be taking parental advice from?}
Agree · 4 · Disagree · 0
Courtney has a point no matter what he has done in hes past,how do you explain the steady rise in youth crime since the cain was banned?and the odd clip around the ear never done me any harm.

Are you having a laugh!
If you did`nt get a beaten from your parents
you turned into a sociopath.
The reasons our prisons are full is because of complicated social issues, most notably, poverty and hopelessness,
these are exacerbated by a legal
profession that flourishes on criminality! {Ed001's Note - kids need discipline, but more of an issue is that most of these kids have parents that just don't care, rather than whether they got the cane or not.}
Agree · 0 · Disagree · 0
Dont twist my words to the poster above(name please)i dont mean every kid needs a slap,dont give me the rubbish about kids turning to crime because of poverty and hoplesness,i was growing up in the 70s thatcherism if you thought it was bad now then double it,you still had crime and violence but you still had respect for your elders then,as for the parents edd you get good and bad i agree.

That sounds like he's surprised to see a jail sentence.

What ever he meant, i hope they continue to do it with "keyboard warriors" to deter potential offenders. It's a joke what i come across on Twitter, absolute vile stuff.

There's a good song lately by an Irish musician called Bressie...the song is called Animals... very good song and video showing police brutality against people protesting against the likes or goldman sachs and that...worth a look on youtube if any of ye are interested. Anyways, Bressie would be a big artist here in Ireland...ye may have heard of him too...and his songs get played on tv and the radio a lot...but this particular song i have heard only once on the radio and have never seen it on the tv...its like it was censored out by the media and that!
