A name that talks about flat earth is Eric dubuy
I just find them type things fun
Like I said watch vid on youtube and challenge it with what you know
That is the only reason I clicked on it but there are a few mental ones
Like if you shade a tempeture gauge from moon light it warms two degrees but in the light two degrees drop
Considering the moon has light becuase it reflected the sun this supprissed me
Just fun people
Don't have to get violent, Lol.

Just for info
Dubuy apparently got hired by nasa to paint the planets or most on nasa website
And was at a dinner with some big wigs and they told him this
Don't read to much into that though people say lots of stuff.

And Southampton87, falling, pulling, pushing, etc. That's all a form of gravity.

The central mass (the core) in our planet is so dense that it creates a pull. If you stand on a steel beam in space and jump, you won't "fall", because there is little or no gravity. However, if you're close enough to something huge (I'm talking bigger than the Moon) then you'll more than likely slowly be pulled toward that mass.

Gravitational waves have also recently been discovered. I get the feeling that you're on the fence when it comes to the flat earth theory?

Also thank you for the reply to the flat earth question
As u probably know when U look at a question and the question leaves u with a couple of explanations or another question I find this very fustrating
And also where science seems to tell us not to believe are eyes one good video is the red bull space jump
Also it would seem that science or scientific theory are starting to become a religion in many senses
Another good video to watch is a youtube video called scientist vote flat or round and they all voted flat I found this puzzling as most science would need the globe and universe as a hole to back a lot of theories

Any how I'm far from a flat earther mainly becuase I have not seen a convincing full working model of the FE
But same things draws my suspicions to the in a way in the sense of beautiful gravity has not been proven to exist but in nature of how it works is very picky
I also understand where u come from with shear size in how I causes these forces
If any thing the measure has to be wrong
I was told when younger a ship will dissapper bottom to top becuase as it gets further and further it is now sailing past the curve but when the ship has gone out of sight get binoculars or any such device zoom in and u can see the boat still so clearly not gone over the curve
And when it jump from a plane would u say I'm being pulled to earth or falling (wierd question)
It has got people with hps when asked and provided with information they are puzzled to

Ed as I think I have asked have u came across lol
I'm laughing and crying at the same time as asking this
But have u look at the flat earth arguement
As I've said I think I love space and the way our universe apparently works
But there are just a few that I think can't be ignored
Water is self levelling and we a 3/ 4 water
When navy personnel have be asked weather they take into account the corrialis affect and the curve of our plant when making long range targets they say no and allways hit the spot (apparently)
The horizon no matter how high u are comes upto the same point
These are just a couple
I don't no what to make of it becuase the science and math used to explane the globe theory can also a lot of the time be made to work for the flat earth
Also a lot of the overwhelming evidence like pictures of planets are composites or artists work
And things like gravity make everything work witch we cannot make a working test of
Then the person who started the globe theroy was a Greek man that write his theroy never presented it died and when he died it then was seen
Just lost and thought u may have had a thought on this or any one else.

for clarification
I just read the post made me seem as though I am a flat earther lol sorry for the term if I offended
My main point was we don't know much ourself and most we have learned thourgh the years can be controlled and distorted becuase we have to rely on what we are taught
Things as such that are not proven but are largely theory and a theory is just that
But it does not stop them coming into schools and giving lectures as what they talk of is proven but clearly is not.
Example of this would be the (missing link) theory they came into junior schools and taught as though was true .
Then there is this concept nasa use to move or position in space air being pushed out at high velocity . but I got to ask what is the air pushing against the (vacuum of space) I can get that .
I can get the van hallen belt problem and my theory would be we use a lot of computer chips and such when a lot used to be mechanically operated so less likely to get warp by electromagnetic force. why they talk of radiation is beyond me becuase our phones and computer chips have no problem handling this so why would a multi million pound vehicle created by some of the best mechanics and scientist have this problem .
Then this one through me the most my mate was in Australia and I was speaking with him on the phone and he said I got the moon and the son clearly visible over head
But I looked out and bang twelve I clock position the moon was clear as days .
Like I said I am not scientific or religious in anyway just very open minded
This just left me questions but no many answers.

I am talking about the poular assumption. There were lots of thoughts, and yes many people did have a theory the earth was round due to star movements. It was mainly not beleived as most people over thousands of years thought we lived in a box with a flat earth.
