{Ed033's Note - yes, it's a nuisance that more people haven't woken up. I think it's because they're still "comfortable". In addition, we have heard that a large coronal mass ejection can not only wipe out the electrical grid but can also render car electrics useless as well. So hardly anyone can go anywhere a distance away.}

Its not a vendetta he is a cheating lying racist scumbag and should be kicked out the league {Ed033's Note - You shouldn't be saying that unless you know that Luis Suarez has the mens rea.}
Read discussionEd i really don't think he meant to use it in this context as a term of endearment. why would he?
{Ed033's Note - Did Luis Suarez have the mens rea? That is the question.}

Agreed bep, this might sound a bit dramatic but i think its wise to store a few bits(i dont mean post nucular bomb scenario) i just mean maybe a load of tins and a few bits to last a week or 2, next year we are getting our xmas food stuff in november, two reasons /more stock/cheaper. and one day it will happen that there will be a shortage of food supplies from petrol strike or prices to a virus that will wipe out all satalittes.

{Ed033's Note - It's good to have spare food but if the worst case scenario does take place, when family, friends, neighbours come knocking to see if you have any spare food, if you give it away to them as you should then it doesn't matter how much spare food you have it will be gone very quickly.
However, in countries where a lesser than worst case scenario has taken place, those with spare food did a lot better than those that didn't and the more spare food the better. But if you buy food that needs to be cooked you require a way of cooking it if the electricity/gas is cut off.}

Apparently we know more about the moon than the ocean, i bet there is something big deep down at the bottom of the ocean.
Read discussionThe poster was spot on! Works colleague was shopping today and the major supermarket he was in was in meltdown!
everything gone.. I took the old lady to a well know German low budget chain and most of the stock had gone too, even the obscure fruit and veg they sell. My point " the shops will only be closed for one day", what would happen if we had a major incident or disruption to the food chain. My guess would be absolute fight for survivalist type of violence!!
