I agree with drumlad Morgan Freeman summed it up brilliantly, he said that names like Adam Lanza will become a household name but no one will remember the victims names, he also said the fact it's the second biggest school shooting in us history behind Virginia tech is ridiculous because why should one mass murdering be compared to another, they are both tragedies and if the media focused more on the victims than the killer than crimes like this would stop as now days people like Lanza are just looking for a way into the record books by going one further than the last guy, he said they have motives to be as evil as possible because they will be remembered. Sorry but i know that he inherited the 'wars' in iraq and afghanistan but im pretty sure that wasnt the guys decision.i see it differently in the sense that i dont really think he has made those decisions. undoubtedly there must be a certain method of training to cope with the darker images and videos he will see, and probable emotional restraint techniques. in this day and age, im believeing little of what i hear and bits and pieces of what i see. i just dont get the impression that hes the emotional cripple you suggest. what i am finding very interesting about this case (for want of a better term) is the ongoing LIBOR case and the connections to adam lanza's father and the batman cinema shooting. again,who knows what to believe.

Drumlad my youngest girl is 9 and it is upsetting for any normal human being but he is Desensitized and is forcing emotion just my take on it,fair point edd1 the media do jump on the bandwagon and like you mentioned rap songs were once going to get banned because they implied that cops were getting killed because of lyrics ffs,next it will jokes.

Franky,i think that there is a detatchment from the use of weapons abroad and the fact that he isnt there to witness it or be directly responsible eg.pressing the button.when something like sandy hook happens i think its the thought that it could possibly have been his kids,his friends kids etc.i felt he was genuine as he seems like a genuine bloke.maybe thats just my opinion.i watched it and i actually felt a little emotional myself,i just found it really hard to accept that anyone could do that.maybe as i have a young son myself it seems really hellish.

Couldnt agree more about the media,i read a day or so ago what morgan freeman had said about the sandy hook tragedy and i agreed with what he said,cant remember it word for word but it was along the lines of,the media were mostly to blame for their coverage and the attention that thier coverage brings,if nobody paid attention to these nutters they would be happy to hang themselves in their basements but they are after the notoriety that their actions bring.i know that this boy lanza did himself in but he knew how it would be covered and surely hoped he would be remembered as the sick little cretin that he is.with regards to what u said about your daughter,i grew up in the gta/call of duty/duke nukem era where i enjoyed tearing around blowing people to bits but these folk surely have some sort of disfunctional upbringing or parents who dont instill the right morals in them.i look at the dnipetrovsk maniacs aswell and just wonder wtf males a human act that way?!

Dell i got that feeling before listening to Alex Jones he only reinforced what i was feeling, drumlad if you feel Obama reaction was genuine then that's up to you but this is the same feller who has no problem using so called smart bombs hitting innocent women and children in the middle east, any slaying of children touches a raw nerve and i do feel for those parents but i am sorry i think he was acting trying to cry, time will tell if these shootings will change the laws, I DO THINK THEY WILL, to the guy who wanted to watch or listen try YouTube feller.

Fake attempt to cry? mate i almost cried myself reading the paper in work today,what happened was horrendous.those little kids so young and innocent,its heartbreaking to think of what happened to them.today the paper is saying this guy had been addicted to call of duty,i somehow doubt that made him do it but why does the media pick out something like a game,and apportion blame on that?

This may sound deep and cringy but people on this who write posts or even read posts regularly to me are like a kindred spirit were fate or the internet to be more precise lol has drawn us all together, sounds corny but i think we have all known each other before.
