Back in the 80s in east Slough there was an animal testing laboratory on the bath road. In the late 90s the site, laying empty, were demolished and a housing estate was built.
I was a child in the 80s but had an aunt who was in her late teens. She told me a story about the 'half-baked monkey'. It was well known to men who went fishing on the grand union camel, less than half a mile north of the Bath road and parallel to it, running east/west.
Only seen at night the monkey had glowing red eyes. It was a known and accepted legend due to the number of people whom had seen it.
Well, my aunt almost ran the monkey over in her car. She was driving on the bath road in the early hours on a Friday or Saturday night and was close to the laboratory site. The half-baked monkey ran out into the road in front of her. She slammed on the brakes and came to a halt. She stared at the monkey and the monkey stood in the road staring at her. She describes it as being chimp like, 3. 5ft tall, red eyes that glowed but there was something very different about its legs, they were more like a horse's rear legs in terms of their skeletal form. Kind of back to front.
The monkey ran off after a few seconds.
I no longer live in slough but grew up with some great stories. In the mid 70s at least 150 witnesses saw a large silver UFO land and then after 5 minutes take off from a park in north slough, in the middle of a sunny afternoon. I have a good friend who was perhaps 3 at the time who lived in a house which backed on to that park. He ran out into his garden to be confronted by this UFO, silver, seamless and disc shaped. He ran scared back into the house. He maintains it took up the whole park which would suggest it was a minimum 100m wide.

Spring Heeled Jack was a Victorian myth if I remember rightly.
Although my recollection is hazy now - old age gets to us all! - I think this story ran around 76-78ish.
A woman was interviewed saying that she woke one night to see a black shadow standing on her landing with luminous red eyes - this was when the tv when black and they flashed two red lights on screen - as you can imagine that was pretty scary in those days.
I'm sure it was the programme Nationwide that the report was on.
As for the beast at my gran's window she said it was black headed and had piercing red eyes. looked at her throught the pane and then dropped down as if going to all fours - maybe this was a Rhondda Valley ABC? :)

I have heard of spring heeled jack, sightings were seen all over the country years ago.

Read discussionThere is that element to it too Kim, but there again I've been told that by the time I reach pensionable age there won't be a pension to claim for years.
As a business owner myself I was letting my mind wander on other possible effects of this legislation and that was the thought that surfaced.
I see a lot of growing businesses limiting their ambitions lately and thought that maybe this could be a contributing factor.

I suspect is designed to facilitate the removal of the state pension at some point in the future for people below a certain working age, for sake of argument let's say 35. Of course this means less government spending but I wouldn't hold out for a tax cut.

There's still a few of us "old ones" around! Was more of a Torquemada fan myself, always preferred the baddies.

Really good forum in the link that I will post at the end of this, the forum is for professional pilots and even though a few but forward theories they are at a lost.

And there you go - media reporting that potential debris has been located at the extreme edge of Flight 370's range. The most telling part of the report to me was that Australian authorities were informed by none other than US Intelligence sources. If this is the case how come its taken a fortnight for this info to be released.
Always thought it strange that a plane can disappear from a high radar coverage area and that only one of the myriad spy satellites picked anything up. There seems to be a lot of red herrings and wild goose chases reported of searching north of the direction the flight was last reported heading.
As for why someone would take a plane of 300 people? Show of strength maybe? Look what we could do to anyone commercial fleet.
Personally, I think that something not someone was on board that flight that shouldn't have been. Maybe Trident was selling biological arms to China and it was stolen from US supplies? Seen wars started for less in history.
Well I'm now waiting for the whitewash story about there being a catastrophic failure on board and the plane hitting the sea when it rang out of fuel. This will be followed by showing us 3 or 4 pieces of wreckage that may or may not be the plane. (Pentagon plane on 9/11 anyone?)
Either the one or both of the pilots will be blamed for not following procedure or hailed as heroes for actions that they supposedly made.
As a side note - keep watching the news as I like the suggestion by another poster that this is a diversion while other more inflammatory stories are being played out. Just a thought - Russia invade Ukraine and then a civilian airline tragedy played out at the same time - the Sheeple love a good human interest story and well let's be honest - Ukraine isn't near them so that story is boring ain't it? (sorry sarcasm mode disengaged now).
Keep up the good work people, just remember its the authorities that want everyone to Be Pure, Be Vigilant but most of all Be Have :)

Editor sorry I do not mean to be dismissive of your theory just trying to puzzle it out. Its a lot of effort to go to for what appears to be small gain. There is something we are missing. This has taken a lot of planning and preparation. We're talking months here, waiting for the right conditions. Its a lot of noise and intelligence agencies like to hide in dark silent corners. Even using proxies. And assuming that it did go to DG that means military involvement. If you wanted someone dead you'd just blow it up and frame the arabs, ready made scapegoat. If you wanted to snatch someone there's a dozen easier quieter ways. It has to be something really important to warrant such an operation.

Sorry guys hoped that made sense? Hate writing posts of my mobile!
Read discussionI have deliberately not commented on this subject for many reasons, waiting for more information etc etc, I think this hijacking of sorts is being played out for something much bigger, let's be honest about this is to public, when you have propaganda news like sky or the BBC all over it then they want our attention, while all eyes are drawn to this plane news important stuff is going on elsewhere, thus plane could be a sacrificial lamb and it would not surprise me if out of the blue they find the plane in the sea, case closed, I am very very skeptical of news sites on mainstream media and this is to divert our attention!

The majority are Chinese, they are not that sentimental. And if you wanted just one person you'd grab them on their own, not in transit on a plane with hundreds of others it draws too much attention. Its called a secret service for a reason. Even the Americans can't be that arrogant or reckless. Hmmm actually they could. I lean more towards the idea of something on the plane.
