Wrong word I used, not dismissing, more just accepting what I've been told.
I'm in now way a conspiracy pro, or whatever you want the term to be, but I have done research on 9/11 and that was massive and obvious.
This is less obvious, although the money loss doesn't sound like a coincidence, it seems like it.

Don't understand why he would ask for an ISIS flag then, if it was nothing to do with ISIS
Read discussionJust given it a quick search and it seems it was a story doing the rounds on reddit in late October.

I heard a similar story to your daughter today Franky. It's Chinese whispers of course but a bloke at work was telling me about someone who found a wallet with a lot of money in, returned it to the owner, who was a Muslim and was warned to stay away from Sydney on new years eve.

You should never dismiss anything straight away Aron. I only dismiss this bloke being an Isis terrorist due to logic. He took over a cafe, that anyone couldve planned on a whim, and got very little from it other then a bullet.
You have to look at the bigger picture. Who gains from a major australian Hub being struck with fear and being shut down for the day or two? What comes out of the incident?
At a time when our lives are monitored more closely then ever before, do you really believe this act could be planned unnoticed? At a location where anti terrorism drills have been done? On a day a $20b loss is due to be announced and now gets zero coverage? Too many coincidences for me.

Of course this isn't to say that mossad or the cia don't take advantage time to time when they need to scare people, there's an inexhaustible pool of angry religious extremists to take advantage of.
But most of the time it is what it is. Religious fanatics on a mission. Maybe dealing with the issue instead of looking to lay blame elsewhere is an idea.

Fair enough Melbourne, I am dismissing it early like I do with a lot of things at first, then when the conspiricies come out I take a look and make my own judgement.
Interesting points mate. Will Definetely have to look into it soon.

Of course there is a lot more extremest now than there has ever been in modern times, what do you expect to happen when the west have been bombing the middle east since the early 90s, I guess you would get pretty p---ed.
Read discussionHavent posted in a while, but feel the need.
Firstly Aron, stop listening to media reports. The flag was not an Isis flag. that's what the media want you to believe.
The bloke was not a terrorist, but a mentally unstavlble crim who should've been behind bars. This anti islamic agenda being pushed on Australia by the media is a disgrace.
The Australian Defence Force ran a drill at this exact location a year ago, is that also a coincidence? Not to me its not. For those of us who have studied 9/11, while there is many theories as to the buildings being brought down, one thing we can all agree on is that the American govenment had prior knowledge of the 'attacks' and pushed security measures on the American people after the fact.
Australia will now pass three laws, due to the incident in Sydney. Government officers will be immune from prosecution for extreme acts of violence. The Government will extend the time they can hold people in detention or detainment. Our internet and mobile data will be held for a mandatory two years. All sound fair because one bloke was allowed to lose the plot?
Isis? Wake up mate. If Isis, who we are told is the biggest "terror group" in the world, wanted to cause a scene, they would have the capabilities to kill thousands through explosives. Not 2 people with a gun.
Illridewithyou is the only positive to come from this.

Or just maybe there is a lot of extremist Muslims who only bother to read the violent verses of the Koran and the hadith, and there are plenty, who want to rampage around killing people who don't fit their religious ideal. Mainly fellow Muslims, like what's happened in Pakistan.
But its easy to dismiss that and say its all mossad.

To be totally honest pj the worst case scenro I have told my daughter to avoid popular events were there are going to be masses of crowds but being in a different country over xmas and new year I doubt my girl will take a blind bit of notice, if there is a terror attack there I would suggests do not use any public transport /trains/buses/ferry etc and get out the city center even if it means walking, I do not want to sound dramatic because in all probability nothing will happen but its always best to have a plan b and I will be telling my girl that, have a great time pj my daughter loves it there.
Read discussionNo matter what this guys issues was to hold hostages there is definatly a war on terror agenda on the msm, the guy allegedly he had over 40 sex related charges and a murder accomplice but that was put in the backgound because he fitted the narrative ie Muslim and not the full shilling, maybe I overreacted but when you have a kid the other side of the world you do tend to panic and I will be drumming in to my daughter to keep her wits about her.
my daughter now works in a children's hospital in Brisbane and was off that day and even thou the incident happened in Sydney the swarm of police in Brisbane city center must have been a shock to everyone, one of my daughters ozzy mates switched hospital jobs and moved to Sydney and my girl text her to find out is she ok and her mate said some patients got moved to a safe room while this was going on, shows you how 1 person can be used to lock down a area and most of the services.
a side note, watching the armed response go into the cafe and what looked like a journalist watch with his notes and pen at the ready a few feet away was surreal, I know they are nosey but I would have thought the would have got moved well way, prob nothing.
my daughter and friends are spending xmas in sydney in a few days time and hopefully this is a 1 off incident

Hi guys, I'm a long term reader first time poster. I have to say this is a subject of particular interest to me as I'm currently a backpacker in Australia, I'm staying near Brisbane at the moment but I'm heading to Sydney for Christmas and New year.
Frankie I'm just wondering if you reckon there's anything I should be keeping a loom out for or be wary of, what advice have you given to your daughter.
Thanks in advance.

My bad Aron, I misunderstood your point. I thought u meant it to franky and I just didn't feel the need to go on like that to him for simply sharing the story. sorry mate!
Read discussionThink you have me misunderstood Kaizer, I was directing my comment to the dude saying the thing about the government releasing it's 20 million dollar thing and how it went undercover while not getting on the news, I disagreed on that.
I agree with franky and thank him for sharing as he did a month ago

He already had an ISIS flag which they held to the window, I'm not sure but I think it may have been stolen so he wants it back, can't remember

Franky was just sharing what his daughter said, and it is true, he did say this some time ago, no need to be so harsh on him for sharing here.
its so easy to use the image of islam now as a terrorist attack. I honestly don't believe these guys are real muslims at all.

The truth is the truth not propaganda, are you saying 6 million died? they didn't and saying that is simply stating a fact, in fact most expertrs agree it can't be more than 2 million and that is still probably to high, we should always strive for the truth on all matters, like the way a gas chamber isn't even air tight and no expert will tell you that you can gas people if it isn't airtight without killing yourself, plus the fact america never took a pic that showed smoke from the twice a day burning, they flew over for 6 weeks! strive for the truth always, nothing I have stated is propanganda, that doesn't mean i'm pro hitler though does it
