Pleasure was sarcasm, strange woman, almost hypnotic. I had menial embassy position ;). Ah Anthony Blunt yes I remember that one. The English played the game civilised. Blunt, Philby and the others knew if they could manage to escape they were safe, the English didn't cary out reprisals. Whereas the Russians do, Litvinenko etc. Gordievsky still looks over his shoulder, although I think they are past caring about old men now.

Philby, the traitor thing hurt him, he always said he did not betray the English people just the establishment which he said was corrupt and wicked. But that is what they couldn't forgive. I find that is true of any establishment.

Pleasure would not be the word I would use about her, as for philby I do not know enough to pass comment, only a brief search of your pseudo name last night, I have watched the tinker Taylor soldier spy movie and I remember the Anthony blunt scandal in the 80s I think, which brings me on to the biggest traitors of this country and it's no agent, the monarchy make mi6 seem like a youth club, they are manipulative sadisti-c but they do it with a smile and a wave, there is no doubt in my mind they would sacrifice (pardon the David icke pun) that they would let most of the UK population die if it meant they were still in power, people are to blind to see it, back to you Kim did you work in a position of power or was it a chance meeting with the witch?

I had the pleasure of meeting her once, something very odd in her eyes. A bit of a crazy gleam. I see similar in eyes of him currently in Moscow. Why do the mad ones always reach the top?

I know Philby is badly regarded in this country by those of later generations, and forgotten by the younger ones. But the comrade colonel was a brave man and stood by his convictions. Alas it was for nought, the revolution betrayed by sad old men like Brezhnev and colleagues. Corrupt old men preaching equality whilst taking the pleasures of the West. And in irony here I am.

Hey Franky,
Democracy is a synthetic word, from Demos and Kratos. Demos translates to the people of a country and Kratos to power.
Democracy means power to the people.
There is currently no country in the world using a democratic system and there hasn't been one since ancient greece.

Modern labels such as democratic republic, social democracy, representative democracy etc. are means through which the establishment limits people's imagination and logic.
Of course such practices are not complete without the necessary overcomplication of simple matters, that urge people to feel powerless and unable to decide for themselves.
It appears humans have such intensity in their attempt to improve themselves (a rebellious nature) that a vast web of illusions is necessary to even fail to subjugate them.

Alas Zari I am bound by what I was indictrinated in my youth. I will respectfully disagree but that is your right.

Frankyscouser, I agree democracy seems to be failing. I have lived through it here and seen the effects it has had in my homeland. I remember seeing the riots on tv and we all thought finally it is happening. Especially considering the crazy leader you had at the time.

The last time the English went to the streets on mass was in the 1980s I was 11 or 12 and we lived in the heart of it (toxteth) it was pretty when I think back watching baton charges and tear gas by the police and seeing petrol bombing and fires all over the area, the reasons for the surprise was mass unemployment and police brutality plus race hate by the establishment (deja vu?) things will have to get a he'll of a lot worse all over the country not just the poorest cites and in a macabre way I hope that day comes as democracy does not work.

Kim Philby,
The absence of partitioning justice is not a polarized conflict between conservatives and socialists (capitalists and communists). The cold war is over and we can no longer be bound by dualistic paradigms.
The politics industry serves the establishment and no person in a position of power echoes the peoples voice nor promotes solutions that benefit the people in the long run.
Their microscopic, conditional and pretend ideologies, which are nothing more but propagandistic labels, exist solely to divide the people and keep their logic captive.

People should read and understand the etymology of the labels they are using, as that empowers one to realize that most of them have no relation whatsoever with their modern day namesakes.
The establishment promotes its agenda by creating arguments which are fought between impersonators of authority and impersonators of rebels. The outcome of these simulated conflicts is always one of their design.
After all our work and achieved progress the vast majority of the population is barely scraping by. This is unacceptable and inexcusable.

As for an English revolution, don't forget that those in the eye of the hurricane only experience sunshine.
As the hurricanes center relocates everyone could be in for a surprise.
Judging from current events I would say the English are well equipped and more than capable to topple the local part of the establishment. As long as they rid themselves from notions of oligarchy that is.

Frankyscouser I did add to that regards the capitalist exploiters. Of course we should all be very angry. I may have been too harsh in my words, but it is another system of control and one put in place by a nominally socialist party! Of course your conservative party will try to remove it, tools of the bankers that they are. And attempts to strip it from the very weakest must be resisted. But the English will not revolt, not for anything meaningful, when was the last English revolt?

Interesting post mate this week I will look into that, I would not surprised at all if they did plant it on the ira, I find it very hard to trust the government if they said it was going to be warm out I would bring a sheepskin coat with me, off to bed now but will check that out.

Frankly you are so right, so many people are quick to blame an easy target, the easiest being the ones who generally can't stand or speak up for them selves. The poor are always who the government target, after all it's easier to blame them, than the leader of a political group, or people who have a grip on society in general, as they are the ones who control this illusion. The media constantly shifts anger and manipulates emotions to its own benefits, and people must realise this. If a single mother who needs a home and money to feed her child, without having to scrape a living whilst leaving her child with a unstable upbringing, then surely that is what we pay tax for, so that people less fortunate than us don't have to suffer. Surely that is what a "civilisation" actually means. Ultimately that is what the establishment want though as all that produces is unstable adults who they can persecute and manipulate easily. I don't know if the Eds will allow this Franky, but I was in Dublin that day and I heard three car bombs go off in quick succession. They killed 26 people, and maimed and injured hundreds. I have always believed that the British army was responsible and I am not alone in thinking that. The UVF was blamed and still is, but that is a bit like saying OBL was responsible for 911.

Not to forget the Maguire Seven, and the Birmingham Six, Franky. All stitch up jobs. Just like Hillsborough.

Have you ever done any research on the Dublin and Monaghan bombings in 1974?

Ryan.
