15 Mar 2016 13:20:20 Is this the one in the US or another because if this is a different driver then this would be the 2nd Uber driver to have something like this, which in my eyes would not be coincidence.
09 Mar 2016 16:16:15 Just started watching the new series of the X Files (it's been backing up on DVR) and wondered how much of you watched Fringe. I always found it fascinating and wondered how much of it could potentially been accurate; any thoughts?
01 Mar 2016 07:40:39 Having lived there myself (albeit on a student visa) and having a brother who has just gained his green card I have to admit it is an elongated and difficult process. You are caught in a catch-22 situation in that you need a job for visa and that you need a visa for a job. Unless your daughter is well-qualified and in a position to apply for relatively high level jobs she may find it difficult to find the work that will initially allow her to stay past her 90 day tourist visa. For any (legal) job in the US you need a Sicial Security number, which, as you can guess, you need a Visa to get.
Even with Visa and permanent job it is still an expensive and time consuming process to progress with this. My brother and I went through their university system, I was working as a university football coach and they said my wage was not sufficient to allow a visa to be allocated for it; therefore I was essentially deported for doing a relatively high level job (having been educated to MA level) for not enough money. My brother finished his PHd and faced a similar problem he worked for a year lecturing on the final year of his student visa but find it near impossible to gain sponsorship for a visa for a permanent job (despite having had hundreds of thousands of dollars invested in him. He had to return home and work at a university here for nearly two years before he find and convinced an employer that he was worth sponsoring for a full time job. He received his green card in October 2015, having been there since 2001!
22 Jan 2016 21:08:02 I've mentioned it before on non-conspiracy page but you should watch Swedish drama Jordskott. Very similar to the thread of this conversation.
10 Jan 2016 21:34:57 Could people possibly suggest sites to look at in order to receive the real news? I have just found legendary times but am struggling with others.
07 Nov 2015 12:19:20 Not saying it is linked as I haven't watched the video but there was a voice actor who died last year whose death could not be explained and family were questioning whether or not someone or something had got to her. Think she was from Rugrats. Like I said, could be nothing more that a natural causes death but.
29 Oct 2015 15:48:34 Was chatting to my wife about this and she said her gran held out her hand and said her husband's as she reached then end (he'd been dead a number of years) . I like the idea of the evolving thought Franky, there's a great fable/story about dragonfly lava and how they just leave with no goodbye but they've actually metamorphasised (sp? ) into dragonfly. I different plane of visibility would explain a lot of things. Makes me think of the topics covered in Fringe.
13 Oct 2015 09:32:39 There was a huge debate when GTA 4 (iirc) came out when Devin Moore shot his way through a police station after stealing the gun from an officer; he then stole a police car and was caught after a car chase (much like the game he'd been playing non-stop). After being caught, he s something along the lines of "Life's a video game, you got to die sometime". This sparked a battle in the courts between Rockstar and Jack Thompson about whether or not the game caused this. I'd recommend watching Gamechangers as it is all about this. Should be on iPlayer as was pretty recent.
03 Oct 2015 18:30:59 Sorry posted in a hurry. I went to uni just outside of Kennesaw and was aware of this law. The thing that concerned me wasn't just the law but the belligerent belief that the 2nd amendment was the most important of all rights. From what I recall of my constitutional history classes it is the right to bear arms in the face of tyranny.
To make a mandatory law dictating the possession of anything is in the extreme but this one was always a cause for concern to me. Especially as I knew several 'Good Old Boys' who despite wealth were not playing from a full deck and would not hesitate to shoot first and ask questions later ala Trayvon Martin.
03 Oct 2015 17:13:24 I'm currently reading Komolsky Heights by Lionel Davison and it is leading to something similar in a Tundra-based science facility in the Siberian North. I'd suggest Planet of the Apes is closer to the truth that Jurassic Park.
18 May 2015 09:20:42 An interesting one on a similar note - An article has appeared claiming that since 2006 the Brazilian football team has been selected based solely on who were the most marketable players. Any other teams we feel are like this?
