Does anyone think there is anything sinister/conspiracy related to the increase in heart related deaths/incidents in high level athletes?

I was suggesting something along those lines Zari; the dead often make the best scapegoats.

They make make the supposition that his death was not accidental; his wife said at the time of death. "well, we know it wasn't his heart, he'd just had a check up" (similar to Smith) and also both had almost died earlier in their careers and had never really recovered - career wise-discussed Mike Smith warding off unwanted attention at the BBC and how they both supposedly knew enough about what was going on to be considered a danger.

In addition to the poll question; as many (if not all of us) question the motives, actions ad reporting of many (if not all events/acts), do we believe that true altruism exists or not?

Read that this morning (or something very similar) and you beat me to the post Frankie. Is that the article that links in Jill Dando and Rick Mayall too?

Is David Irvine the fella who was jailed a few years back for holocaust denial?

What significance do you feel this has on the wider world? Why the link the Machiavelli? What other purpose would faking his death serve, other than saving his life. I fail to see why this is a viable conspiracy theory. sorry for being narrow minded on this one.

Hmmm, it seem that The Vatican have just found untold millions of Euros tucked behind the proverbial settee; isn't that bloody convenient?

Ed that is what I have gleaned from reading about him that offered his prospective conquests an option to join him. Apparently he also conscripted (perhaps not great choice of words) those who he had fought against and instead of them being POWs/slaves they were treated as free men and included in his army. My friend also alluded to his relationship with his son (Joshi?) and how the changed him and how he acted in war. Sounds a fascinating character - I believe he is going to be featured in the new Netflix series about Marco Polo.

Being heavily into football both as an (ex)player and coach I can see how they don't tire. We played a very similar way in my time in The US where we played a low intensity defence until the ball reached certain positions and even then it was a zonal way of playing - we found the results were staggering; we ere full of energy in latter stages of the game despite it appearing that we never stopped running (and we were not of the level of Munich or Barca). Now I know that Pep has had trouble wit banned substances in the past so am definitely not going to rule that out but just thought I would put forward a bit of an explanation of sorts.

Seen it Franky; really good film with a strong plotline. I bet this thing happens lot more than we know about.

Been away for a while (work and a holiday) so missed few things, especially this Chris Brown thing. Went on a tour of Cambridge colleges whilst on holiday and heard an interesting fact; that Trinity College is worth £2. 6 billion! If this does not back up theories of an Elite ruling class, then few other things will.

Oh, and how many of us watch Utopia? What is currently being suggested is remarkably similar. no?
