For those that don't know Novocherkassk in June 1962 Khrushchev raised the prices of meat and butter throughout the soviet union. At the same time production quotas were separately raised effectively decreasing wages.

The workers of the locomotive plant in Novocherkassk having had they're complaints ignored went in strike. The resulting two days of civil disobedience led to troops entering the town and left 26 dead 87 wounded and 116 arrested.

That's a police state.

Was there even a need for 20 in the first place investigating such an old crime? They only got such sizeable commitment because of the high profile and who they are/ are connected to.

Lots of children go missing and it gets swept under the carpet. But this gets treated differently.

Not to say that they aren't up to something. But such evocative nomenclature.

Maybe. But till you open re education facilities, have people on the streets asking for your documentation, encourage people to actively spy on each other and have a general atmosphere of fear, suspicion and mistrust its not the same. You want to see a modern police state go to Beijing or Shanghai or Pyongyang or Riyadh.

And as I said yet. As growbun its more insidious. Here you have the illusion of choice and material goods. We had the reality of no choice and no material goods.

Nothing like a police state yet. I grew up in one.

Never heard of this but I know some of you might find this interesting

People that are dying, are often 'visited' by visions of dead friends and relatives

I mean in general attitude as well. Obviously back in 80s most of the psycho ones were in the units deployed to beat people up but some of them could be very polite and helpful.

Try talking to them now. Downright rude and ignorant. Maybe I've lost my looks. And that's when you can actually find one.

Contrast that to the Europeans or even the Americans.

Police forces tend to recruit people of a certain mentality. Power corrupts.

The Israelis operate like the Russians. Anyone can be a potential agent on some level.

Yes franky bush knew nothing. You don't trust politicians with complex operational details.

Do you not think the attempt to put all conspiracies into one grand conspiracy theory is just a conspiracy in itself. In order to make deniability easier.

I don't think most people cared that much about it. Everyone knows what the bullingdon club get up to. Drunken toff student pranks hardly matter. It was all about embarrassing Cameron on a grudge. Its barely even believable. I think there was a similar story about Lyndon Johnson.

Franky it came out due to a court order. The last people who wanted it out there are those named in it.

Franky that was misdirection. How do you expect chilcott to look at a private conversation between 2 people who aren't going to admit what was discussed.

This is an internal government memo from the state dept to white house which has only become public due to a court order.

Franky these were state department memos on Hilary Clintons private server which a court has subpoena'd. Chilcott never saw them as they weren't submitted to the inquiry as evidence. Basically details were kept from the inquiry.
