O it was always fun making 2CD snap to attention. Then you come to a place like England and literally waved through. Ok diplomatic papers meant no fuss, but then walking around, using the tube, shock to the system. Moscow metro was always swarming with them. Course now with cameras everywhere its not as blatant. Hopefully I won't need to go back for awhile.

Apologies but a lot is theory and linking together of some tenuous strands. Whilst I do not doubt that something is underfoot, something seems missing.

Never been there, not really a fan of the region, its the way they look at you.
I used to sometimes perversely enjoy being stopped.
"lets see you i'd eh comrade"
Pulls card out.
"carry on comrade major!"
Men!

I think its becoming less so. But western society has had more of it that than the old soviet bloc, the middle east, china for example. I think a lot of people in this country are in for a shock.

I just can't a group of people keeping themselves hidden for that length of time especially at those numbers.
When I first moved to this country to live I did some freelance advisory work for company with a nice office on the Thames. Couple of seminars that sort of thing.
Anyway one of them was on the equation of secrecy: The chances of any secret being blown is proportional to the number of people who know about it. The more people who know about something then the less secure and less secret it is.

China has done for years as nominally they remain a communist country. I'm not really that interested in china. This though is a recent move in Russia, and shows the further slip towards totalitarianism. Yes they already pass data over but previously they kept the data at their own headquarters where it was under the laws of that country. By having to file a copy of the data in Russia it becomes subject to Russian law and is easier for various agencies to access the data. They can move faster if anyone breaches the "rules".
Either way worrying for free speech.
Google is better name and you knew who I meant.

Any excuse to visit the shops is a good thing. It has been many years since I've been to a Russian wedding so things have probably changed. My own was all a blur.

So Putin is now banning websites like reddit and has made it law that google, FB etc have to store data in Russia. As Garry Kasparov said on twitter an Iron Firewall is being created.

Wasn't there a recent drama programme about this?
Its a scenario that crops up regularly at crisis management and disaster planning events.

Originally it was tough, there was sexism of course and other incidents in mixed units. Then the propaganda machine realised it could milk it so some were feted. A number did win our highest decoration. So it was a bit of a mix. They come in and out of vogue I suppose but as a girl growing up there was only really them and cosmonauts like Valentina Tereshkova to look up to.
Stalingrad was hell. The film Enemy at the Gates is mostly realistic especially at the start. My fathers unit went in with a rifle for every 3 man.

It did seem quite interesting. I have caught a few videos on this site but I don't always have time to watch everyone but I appreciate the effort.

Going back to hyksos I was reading some interesting things by a guy called Tsarion, think his first name was Michael. Very interesting.
I agree if we all agreed it would be boring.
