So the media have unsurprisingly gone after boris' comments, what he said was correct, the EU is just another way to make us a state.

Ed033, if we stay in do you think there would be an acceleration to making changes to the EU before the rest of us know what's hit us?

Southampton the problem with news sites is rather than waiting to be correct they take a shot in the dark hoping they are right. Some cases they get it right but more often or not they don't.

Sonogo schools only care about their image and pushing kids out the other side, don't actually care about the kids themselves. Can't have creative thinking in this world or individuals as people might challenge the government.

This has been going on for years,

`we must improve our ethnicity quota so we will just employ someone for the sake of it`

It should be if you are good enough you get employed, not that persons better but we need more ethnic groups. it just defies the point.

I thought it was the case, I later checked the bbc and it is in the Europe section half way down. But the Greece story will have massive repercussions (possible bankrupcy/ need bailing out) and Poland was the biggest protests in their country since 1989. So not small news by any stretch, why can't we just get the news as it is and be allowed to form our own opinions?

The answer: the governments would be shown for the farce they are and how we are all just cogs in the machine.

Berlin is an amazing city, some of the monuments in particular the holocaust memorial take your breath away.

Sanogo, there's a campaign online to stop the paper, ed033 is right though they would just re-brand it. Ed033 on the back of this is there any source of information where they just say it as it is without it being spun one way or the other?

Just wanted to mention a slightly different topic other than the EU, I know no one is daft enough on here to read a rag like the S*n (not only lying about Hillsbrough, but then not even having the balls to mention it on the front page today) . But if you know anyone that is tell them the only thing it's good for is. actually it doesn't have a use!

It's definitely moving towards an American model where we turn into states, people will argue that's the only way to compete in the global market. I disagree the more competition the better for consumers.

Southampton, makes you wonder why Obama wants us to stay in Europe, all to do with having the upper hand over us. Hopefully the protests across Europe will put an end to it, although it will still happen just a different name.

Thanks guys, I'm of the same opinion it appears like a backhanded way of taking control of Europe eventually. A big enough bloc of countries that they probably believe can take on Russia!

I am going to be honest I don't know much about the TTIP so any help would be appreciated, trust you guys more than stories published online. But is it basically a `trade deal` that gives the american co-operations more power within Europe then they have currently or am I clutching at straws?

I'm sorry to whinge about Obama again, but he has now come out and said a trade deal will take 5-10 years, that would only be the case if he were the one organising it. I'm sure someone competent who has there nations interest at heart would sort it out. I know the main stream media is government controlled or at least it's in their interest not to go against them. But the lack of coverage for the leave campaign is frightening.

Supasub the more I read his comments the more it annoys me, it just smacks of Dave asking for a favour from who he perceives as a powerful man, a man that's more bothered about being a celeb than the influential man he should be.

I think another factor in this is if we leave the EU Dave and Osbourne would have to step down to save face, I think that may play a huge role as we get closer to the vote.

watchdog have bemoaned the £350m a week we supposedly spend on the EU. Saying the figure is to high, it's actually only £190m, they didn't mention this just that the original figure was to high, (9.9 billion a year contribution) . well that's me swayed, staying in the EU it is!

Not the biggest poll in the world but there's three in our office all saying out. the whole media thing in a weird way could benefit the out vote as there will be people that just vote to go against what they want.

Sanogo, I genuinely believe there will be a short term effect (if we vote out) where the pound weakens and some lose jobs due to uncertainty. But long term I just view it as a no brainer and a stronger UK.

The EU debate, now getting Obama involved. they really don't want us to leave, so why did they allow the referendum if it is so bad? my answer to look good to the public (giving us a voice. apparently) for another term and they also thought that they could lie to the vote they want.
I. e.

Loss of jobs. Really? I think we could lose jobs short term but long term we would gain more through having to regain industry. Something we lost in the 80's.

Security. Really? If anything we would become more secure as we would become less of a targer, as currently we are tarnished with helping the Europeans.

Loss of trade? So prices go up. Really? As we would make our own agreements that benefit us

There is many more as well but the media coverage is shocking it is like living in dictatorship with all the lies and scaremongering headlines. There is no way anyone can know what will happen but do we want them to continue as they are?

I think it's more a case of someone trying to put a face to the tragedies so the public have an emotional investment, rather than him being involved. Because if he was connected in any way, I don't see the media being allowed to report it.

This is the problem I have with the media, they just want to have the biggest story and have the most views, clicks. So they use what they can and hope no one joins the dots, although people are not stupid.

I refuse to trust the majority of media as its all about gaining sales rather than informative as it should be and let people form opinions rather than force feeding us drivel.

It's driven by demand though, a publication should turn round and say we have no footage due to legal reasons, instead they pull old footage and sell it as new.

Sorry for the rant it just gets on my nerves!

Genuine question, if this attack was a false flag attack what's the angle? Are they wanting to continue air strikes or is there something else. Also, David Cameron can't be best pleased as he has been pushing a safer together message, I think in or out the attacks are just as likely.

Franky, read your comments on the conservatives, do you not think we could see the formulation of a new party entirely. As you rightly mentioned the tories are already split and labour are not exactly cohesive.

This is only the case if we leave the EU, and with all the scare tactics I just can't see it happening, there are too many with deep pockets that benefit with us being ruled by Brussels.
