'For peer validation the findings would be published in the appropriate professional magazine. Not in online articles'.
That's precisely my point. Read my previous post again, but more carefully.

On the contrary, peer validation is an essential part of their profession. All good researchers want to publish their findings so other researchers can determine if the hypothesis can been supported or negated.

I know it said Switzerland but so what. What lab did the test, and have they made their findings available for scrutiny? I get your point Ed033, even if it's a couple of thousand years old, it raises questions about who would have been capable of making it. Personally I think it's a machine part that has been inaccurately dated. Of course I'd like to be wrong.

'I believe the article says a laboratory in Switzerland'.
Thanks for that nugget KP, very helpful.
I asked who, as in the name of the lab and people involved.
Other sources are named, but not the lab.
C&P from the express below.
WHAT ELSE COULD IT BE?
While UFO hunters claim that the mystery chunk of metal was brought to Earth by aliens, some experts dispute this.
Local historian Mihai Wittenberger says that the object is actually a metal piece from a World War II German aircraft.
He believes that it is a piece of the landing gear from a Messerschnmitt ME 262.
However, this does not explain the age of the artefact, claim the investigators.
Nigel Watson, author of the UFO Investigations Manual, told MailOnline that the object could be wreckage from a satellite, which may explain why it was kept secret back in 1973.
The only source not named is the lab, which I find odd.

So it was found 43 years ago, and suddenly it's news now? I'd like to know who verified the age at 250,000 years old. It seems questionable to say the least.

When I tell someone that he should be free, the most common answer I get is "No I shouldn't".
The idiot Larken Rose
“The truth is that any form of authoritarian control—any type of "government, " whether constitutional, democratic, socialist, fascist, or anything else—will result in a set of masters forcibly oppressing a group of slaves. That is what "authority" is—all it ever has been, and all it ever could be, no matter how many layers of euphemisms and pleasant rhetoric are used in an attempt to hide it. â€
The idiot Larken Rose
There is a certain feeling of comfort and safety that one gets by conforming and obeying. Believing that things are in someone else's hands, and having trust that someone else will make things right, is a way to avoid responsibility. â€
The idiot Larken Rose
We are all free to agree or disagree with Larken Rose. But if you have ever taken the time to read what he says, and the only word you can use to describe him is idiot, then I truly feel sorry for you.

Yes Antarctica goes on indefinitely by all accounts, and my favourite, "Gravity as a theory is False. Objects simply fall". It's comedy gold.

It's great fun reading the FAQ's on the flat earth society website. They're completely bonkers, but I love them anyway.

A couple of years ago, someone on this site said US presidents aren't elected, they're selected. It has that whiff about it to me.
Hillary has been an almost invisible candidate, and Trump, an extremely astute man, is running a campaign seemingly in self destruct mode. It's as though he doesn't want to win.

I didn't insinuate that you are ignorant Mr. x, and I'm sorry you took it that way. You can criticise Israeli policy on selling arms and technology all day long and I'm right behind you, but Britain is just as bad, as is France who supplied Mirage jets and Exocet missiles that did the real damage to the British fleet in 1982. None of them have any integrity. Certainly no hard feelings here, I always enjoy reading your posts and agree with most of what you say. All the best.

Shame you would jump on this to make a point about the Falklands or as they are usually called, Las Islas Malvinas.
Shame that also you neglect to mention that Britain is the 2nd biggest arms dealer in the world and has zero integrity when it comes to who it will sell to.
Speaking of submarines, you completely overlook the fact that a British submarine sunk The General Belgrano in International waters, outside of the 200 mile exclusion zone, as it was heading towards Argentina in 1982 at the cost of at least 321 lives, mostly very young men.
You also decline to mention the fact that The Falklands (as you call them) are over 8000 miles from Britain, and Britain has absolutely no business declaring any rights over these islands.
Let us all hope that the people who created the Stuxnet malware can also create a code that will remove the arrogance from Britain that makes so many of its people believe it has any rights over somewhere 8000+ miles away.

Just thought I'd mention there is a really excellent documentary available online called Zero Days. It tells the story of how the US and Israeli governments worked together to release a piece of Malware called Stuxnet into a major Iranian Nuclear facility. I couldn't recommend it highly enough.

Thanks for posting all the articles Ed033. They make for good reading and I would never assume you endorse the views of the people who write them. We're all grown ups here and we can decide for ourselves what we agree and disagree with. Sometimes one article can stimulate the curiosity to dig deeper on a subject.
