10 May 2013 18:10:19 just literally came across this about the madeleine mcCann topic we talked about last week, it claims madeleine is buried 174 meters from her apartment, I won't mention any names in case its libelous.
You're right there is no perfect solution and power and greed is the biggest attraction to being a leader, the main gripe I think everyone has with politicians is lies and spin and the language they use, I will use the great bill shankly quote "We're professionals at Liverpool, we believe in simplicity. I wouldn't go on television or use words in newspapers that only a few people understand. Some people use words knowing full well that maybe only 10% of the viewers or readers know what they mean. We don't. We speak the language of the people, the language that everybody understands. Instead of me saying that somebody was avaricious, I would say they were bloody greedy". So to me if you promise something in any manifesto and completely do a u turn then you should be made to live like the poorest people in the country, I know both our views are pie in the sky, out of the two I think your view is more realistic if there was a major catastrophe mine would be like Turkeys Voting for Christmas, never going to happen.
Even it may sound like I am contradicting myself about my views on government , I still think we still need some type of figure head, even if you go back in time there has been elders who people look up to and as a species humans on the whole need to be led. {Ed001's Note - possibly we do, there are certainly some things that can benefit from centralised leadership, such as education. But there is nothing to stop the powers of a leader figure being limited to certain areas. The problem is, as history has shown us, Rome being a great example, that when someone is given a taste of power, very few do anything other than look for more of it. They tried to limit terms of power and to only give dictatorship to a leader in extremis, it worked a few times, but then it led to someone seizing the power and keeping it. That is why decentralising power could be better, it reduces the opportunities for someone to grasp it all, though it does present its own problems, many of them. I am not sure there is a perfect solution, just like democracy is a terrible form of government, but then any other that has been tried has been worse!}
So do you mean regionalized parties looking after your region? {Ed001's Note - no, you don't need an organised government at all. What do they do? Civilizations existed without them, it was people trying to gather power to themselves that created governments to take charge.}
No mate, we need a government type of structure or it would cause chaos so we have to make do with this shower of nobs, if I had my way if a political group promised certain things in a election and don't do as they promise then the head honchos of any group should be took to task and get jailed for lies, that way the public would know exactly what they are proposing and secondly it would make these greedy politicians who choose this path to then get a cushy job earning millions like the war criminal tony blair. {Ed001's Note - I am not sure we do need a central government, not really. Without one, there would be no one to fight wars against or with for starters.}
People assume to get the population down to 500 million it will be a thermonuclear bomb in my opinion it will be something like this where they could put anything in any seed and cause a pandemic, trying to regulate what mother nature has produced for millions of years has to get you suspicious.
Just signed it, this is serious if this is allowed to happen, the consequences are not going to affect us but our generations down the line, I have just put this petition on my twitter account and will do so on my fb as well.
Agreed mate, when I read the article I thought to myself it can not be possible to carry arms in a friendly march even with permits, no doubt its a perfect opportunity for a false flag with many plants determined to cause mayhem, when this broke I thought it would have went viral but its strangely quiet, 4th of july independence day could be another day to remember. by the way is that you warrior of my twiiter?
