As I've previously stated, I know the guy. I grew up in Luton and honestly, some of the stuff that happens in the town is unreal and never gets reported. I think that's half the trouble. He see's certain situations happen in the town and speaks about them at a national level but as its not being reported, he just looks like a racist - even though he normally has a point.

I agree with Franky, he's a smart guy but his temper and his mouth runs away from him. If he could be a cooler customer and had someone preparing him for interviews, he would gain a lot more support.

Howard Marks was the coolest dude on earth! Had a joint with him at Glastonbury Car park years ago. Really funny and so intelligent. His "Spliff Politics" scene in Human Traffic was immense!

I believe that it is such a good pain killer that pharmaceutical companies (that pay a huge number to governments) won't allow it to become legal. They would lose so much revenue its unreal. Already in the U. S. A, 29 states have made it legal for medical reasons. I fully expect a wonder drug to become available soon, to claw back profits lost over there.
I smoke 1/ 2 joints a night when i'm alone. I just veg out and play the ps4. I don't really smoke it socially and never in public. Its just a way to chill out for me. Some people like 6 cans of beer, I like a joint. But its ok to poison yourself with alocohol but not on a natural substance that has been proven to break down any cancer cells.
The main problem is the strains that are released. This is what really affects people. Different strengths have different reactions to each individual. Some people get the giggles, some people sleep and some people become paranoid. Once again, I look at alcohol and wonder to myself how people can slag of cannabis and then get smashed, make a tit of themselves and regret it for 2 days later.
I believe it should be legalized and it probably will when the government works out how to tax it. But it should only be allowed in the privacy of your own homes. Not walking around the street etc. I think that is too far.
I look at like this. Would I rather my son go out into town with his mates, get drunk and get into fights (Fights in my day were over after a few smacks, buy the man a beer and its forgotten. These days people carry knives or worse on them) and rows or have a few of his mates playing computers in his room and having a few joints? I know what I would prefer.

Anyone else feel that the civil war in America has begun? They are clearly going for people's guns. Whether it's right or wrong, we know people over there won't let them go without a fight.

Cheers Ed. It's shocking how easily led most people are. I've tried my best to put this across without sounding racist but I know that some will say I'm being prejudiced. It's a pc nightmare. Pc is just a way to get people into a single track mind in my opinion.

Afternoon peeps. Been awhile since I posted but after reading a few threads below thought I'd share this.

I've said before that I live in Luton. The population here is probably the most diverse in the country. We have obviously English, a large Irish contingent ( my mum's Irish, Dad English) Polish, Albanian, siekh and of course, Muslim.

I'm sure you have seen the videos of Bury Park. I would go out on a limb and say the area is 80% Muslim. It has always been a Muslim area as long as I can remember. McDonald's got shut down there after protests as did the casino. You can imagine the uproar when Mecca Bingo opened there.

Anyway, I was in a park with my son. It isn't in Bury Park but about a 20 min walk. Lovely park. Big open space. Rivers full of ducks to feed etc. I had my son on a swing and a Muslim couple came over to me and told me to remove him as their son wants that swing. Obviously I told them to wait their turn but I was told that I am now in a Muslim area and it's time that me and my son left. I'm a pretty stubborn guy and told them to go forth and multiply. He then got his phone out and 10 mins later I had another 2 people with them screaming and shouting at me.

My son is 19 months. He could sense the tension so I decided to leave. Trust me, I would have lost it if my son and other children weren't around. I was told as we left that this is a Muslim town and to thank my lucky star's that I'm walking away.

Now I understand what people have posted underneath that it's been happening for years by different groups but until you have experienced that, with your child, you automatically form prejudices.

What's your guys views on this? I've lived in Luton all my life and never had anything like this. I seem to notice that they were all in their twenties/ early thirties. I find most Muslim elders quite respectful and approachable. Is it an age thing? Is it something drummed into them at mosques or is it something they've seen on the Internet and decided to copy it? Where has this all come from?

Thanks ed. Going to get through all of them hopefully. I watched the Hitler documentary in full and found it amazing.

I always log into the site and to be honest, some of the sites discussions goes over my head. I wouldn't say I'm stupid but it's a lot to take in and get your head around. Just knowing where to start seems like half the battle.

Shocking scenes in Paris. Co ordinated strikes no doubt. Boots on the ground in Syria after this? Too soon to say who is responsible but shouts allegedlu for Syria and Allah inside the bataclan reported. My thoughts are with all affected.

Icke mentioned him in the biggest secret. He believes he had a basement where he abused and killed kids.

Icke believes that the fact Heath lived a further 7 years and he never received any sort of threat of legal action, proved Heath's guilt.

A lot of sports stars do seem jacked up. Your connection with Nike is interesting.

I remember Rooney coming back from Oregan after a terrible season and he seemed full of running after that.

These blood bags going missing is a massive cover up. It will all come out sooner or later. No doubt.

That's the feeling I have ed. Has any more come out on the blood samples that have gone missing? Surely this is a massive deal in sport? How has this gone under the radar? This should be mainstream news. Ferdinand missed a drugs test and was hammered, even after a test the next day was clean! This guy dominated a sport like lance Armstrong! If I was Federer, I would be fuming as he is the best player I've seen live and his legacy has been affected by suspected cheating!

Watching Wimbledon and the decline of Nadal got me thinking. Are we watching the end of an era where everyone has reached his level, or is he actually playing "clean" lately?

We have all heard about the Spanish blood doping allegations. Rumours are that Nadal is deep into it too. Deeper then some football clubs!

When I look at what made Nadal formidable 7 years ago, it was his stamina and the ability to hit a ball so hard even after 2 1/2 hours. Blood doping definitely helps with these elements.

So has he just lost his touch or is he just playing fair?

I was thinking more along the lines of whenever there's a drill, something happens. 9/11 and 7/7 both had "drills" that day!

Just woke up to find that the largest terrorist drill is taking place today. I just get a chill down my spine when I see things like this. If I was still a betting man I'd put money on something going down today. Hope I'm wrong. Really do.

He really believes what he says. It's not against a race. Just a failure of integration on some of their parts. Come and take a drive through Luton and it's obvious how there are rules for one and not another. Everyone here says it. He just had the balls to fight it. He went to a school that was mixed and I know he has friends who are Muslim. Even taxi drivers here understand what he means. If you live here, abide by our customs Ms do not force your beliefs on others. That's basically it. But some people like taking words and looking for things that are not there. If Tommy was a total racist, he would say that. I think there is a Stacey Dooley programme on YouTube with him walking around Luton. Give that a watch. He won't back down. The grief she gets for being white is unreal too. No wonder someone spoke up.

Anyway, I feel I have done the tourist trade here a bit of harm. Erm. come to Luton! We have an airport and a lovely sign when you come off M1 J10! Lol

Hi Franky.

I live in Luton. Have been in the same pubs as him, both from the same estate etc.

He's a pretty decent bloke to be honest. Always had time for a chat and I can honestly say I've seen him talk/drink etc with all races.

I'm not an edl supporter. When he first started, he put his views across the wrong way.Puppet? No way. He was outraged at the poachers brigades treatment by the extremists during their home coming march. I lost my brother in law and he was in that regiment so I was raging myself. He saw where the edl was going and decided that people were twisting his words and beliefs. His family etc was being threatened too. His business was smashed up a few times too.

All I can say is what I know. As a bloke, he's throughly decent from my personal experience.
