From 1966 to 1975, the Watchtower regularly implied that Armageddon would arrive in 1975. Jehovah's Witnesses stocked up on food, put off raising children, cashed in superannuation plans, cancelled health insurance and sold their homes and bought caravans to live in.

After nothing happened in 1975, very little was ever said.

My mum got involved with this lot. This is from my experience only but from what I've seen they were a mad bunch of people.
Completely relied on fear to bend people to their agenda.
Only 144,000 people get to go to heaven and so forth.
I had the miss fortune of having elders come to my home regularly.
As a then 14 year-old and a bit of a prat I'd engage in conversation with them with the intention of outing their nonsense.
I recall they didn't believe in dinosaurs. There was too many things I'd ask just to bait them more than anything the questions couldn't be answered.
I was told several times over a 5 year course the end of the world was apon us. To be ready for it.
Every few months I'd say oh we're still here and would be told it was miscalculations.
Now don't get me wrong each to their own but for me I saw my mum go from a nutter to being an extreme nutter when involved with these people.
As I said everyone can have their own beliefs but for me I wouldn't go near that religion.
On a side note, no sympathy needed my mum topped herself. She obviously had her demons/problems before hand but I'd tell her all the time don't be sucked into their beliefs.
As a 14 year-old I could see the way they dismantled a person mentally and make them into the person they wanted .
No offense to anybody but thats just my experiences with Jehovah's Witnesses.

I happen to have some JW neighbours. They're not too bad. Have tried to lure me to KH before but I responded that the Earth was flat, space is fake and the Intelligence has me where they put me so I am all good. You really wouldn't know they were JW's though. All the others I have met do tend not to give up and be consistently pestering you to change your mind. They do seem to want to get your money and enslavement like some other organisations. Like you say, best to stay clear.

Religion is a personal thing. If someone chooses to believe something, it is their right too.

I do post on here as happy2be negative but my password kept saying incorrect.
Yes not all of them are bad people. It's kinda like a pyramid scheme. They just keep on untill you convert then send you out knocking on doors. More people through the doors = more money but that is like most religions.
As we said everyone has a right to believe as they see fit. For me I'd run a mile if see them.
A lot of inconsistencies for my liking.

I never believe anything about dates being exact for some cataclysm, but I do look for the symbolism and the very subtle chess move that happens on that date.

{Ed032's Note - Yes. I agree to a certain extent, Pauly77. If you get the dates from the position of all the luminaries and you also know what these positions mean. Then you are on to something. I suspect all calendars other than this have been altered to hide things we are no longer aware of. Replaced with satanic rituals?

I believe the same force (,LE) were the phoenicians, Persians,mongols,Romans,British empire and so forth until we have the USA. I think we are at the business end of our way of life. I don't think enough people will realise in time. Sad but what cheers me up is the fact that I am part of alot of likeminded people and that gives me peace. I always thought I was going a bit mad. Then I found this site and it's all good and I know we can't all be nuts

You would only need the top tiers of each of the empires you mention to be LE for them to have control. The few to rule the many. The problem is most people of this realm are not interested in 'ruling' and are happy to live their own life and share it. It seems inevitable that the LE will always rise to the seat of power as they are completely obsessed with controlling free souls.
