I work in the industry. Currently we are making hybrid vehicles, small engine and batteries. I see some logic for this, especially for most drivers. The company, in its wisdom, are planning to make our factory fully electric.
1. Our suppliers can't supply enough batteries for our hybrid production, you need more batteries for a fully electric vehicle.
2. The UK infrastructure is woefully inadequate and current energy prices have eroded any 'savings'.
Conclusions?
1. With the planned 15 minute cities, the sheeple won't need or be able to afford an EV.
2. UK Gov planning indicates the population will reduce drastically in the next 25 years, less sheeple equals less cars.
