Keep an eye out for some rapid developments from the 25th of February and onwards in Middle Earth (Mediterranean).
The Cypriot government will be signing an agreement with Russia to allow them use of the island for military purposes, both for their airforce and navy. The Greek government is expected to also reach a similar agreement with Russia. This would change the geostrategic balance of the Middle East and strengthen Cypriot and Greek negotiating positions.
The British government made a mess of it obviously, as the Cypriot president issued a statement saying:
"Cyprus is a sovereign nation and outside influence in its internal matters will not be tolerated. " and "Our friends and allies have deceived me. "
It is suggested that this reaction was sparked after information surfaced which indicates Britain's interference for its own benefit, in the UN negotiations regarding a solution to the Cyprus occupation.
Cyprus is expected to ask for Russian support in those negotiations and Russian involvement in matters of national security.
Following the publication of what's mentioned above and as per usual, it has been speculated that MIT (Turkish secret intelligence agency), Securimi (Albanian secret intelligence agency) and ISIS will be targeting Muslims in both Greece and Cyprus in false flag attacks, so as to derail these agreements and remove the current governments.
I reiterate, this last paragraph is only speculation, but I thought I'd include it anyways.

Russia's been after a warm water port and access to the Mediterranean for 200 years. Its always been British foreign policy to thwart this ambition, cf the Crimean war.
Putin may be on the verge of achieving what the czars and the Bolsheviks failed to achieve.
But I wouldn't go thinking he was any kind of an ally. You may be swapping one lot of deceitful overlords for someone far worse.
Interesting last point. The Turks I can see getting up to that, this turn of events goes against them and their getting bored of oppressing their own.
Kim Philby
If the agreement is signed though, in the short-term, the people of middle earth could perhaps enjoy some ephemeral peace. It's been about 3000 years of oppressor after oppressor - and reform after reform for them.
One wonders if some time off could do them, and in extension the world, wonders.

Its a geopolitically important strategic region, always has been always will. It was the silk and spice trade, now its oil, in the future it will be something else. Someone will always meddle.
Same with Greece. Take 1945 for example. The Greek communist resistance tried to take over, install a pro soviet regime which would allow stalin a warm water port in the Mediterranean, achieving a dream going back to Peter and Catherine and showing he can out achieve the czars just as he had in European expansion.
The Greek nationalist resistance not wanting to go communist appealed for help and Churchill in one of his last acts as prime minister committed British troops to the Greek civil war.
Someone will always meddle. That's what the European project is. Its what its always about. Control.
Kim Philby
I agree on the rest and yes, they will always meddle. The point of being here though, among other things, is to make people aware of the situation so they atleast put up a fight.
