The sign of name you use reminds me of someone who used to live near the old Milan cafe the name had me intrigued as it was a name I associated with a father of some one I knew
Could it be you?

What does everybody think of the documentary called American Blackout,, I found it strange that only 2-3 months ago had a similar doc over here in the UK about a cyber attack and a blackout, do you think they are preparing us for what is to come?

frankyscouser
Yeah recorded it and watched it last night, to be honest it seems very realistic and it shows how much we rely on electricity , the only thing about the program it only shows when the lights go back on again after 2 half to weeks later and not the aftermath which would be just as bad, another thing it made the fema camps as a sort of haven and while it did point out the police and army treating the people like animals, the message I got was expect it.

i am old enough to remember the power cuts in the 1970s (3 day week strike) as a kid and as a family we dealt with it, there were a hell of a lot less cars and we were not reliant on things were are today.
{Ed001's Note - what is the point of them though? There is no need for there to ever be a blackout, the only reason the US suffers from so many power outages currently is due to antiquated power lines etc. All it needs is for the electricity companies to invest money in updating the infrastructure and there would be no problem.}

I suppose it makes sense to allow a cyber attack to happen and blame someone else for the dollar to collapse and let the people to be even more dependent on what the government wants, ie a new tax on security incase it happens again.

But that eats into the profits ed and then shareholders have to have less dividends.

Ed/ Franky I think the guy was being tongue in cheek in saying why they don't upgrade infrastructure and the like. Which let's face it is more than likely true!

Mort
{Ed001's Note - I was being tongue in cheek as well Mort, don't worry. He is right though, it is purely profit that is stopping them acting.}

What do u guys think about number stations? Very wierd. they were used in the cold war to order spies or military operations but I'm not convinced!

Not Registered
I find them very interesting but I am not too sure about the "mainstream" explanation either. I would think there are better ways to send instructions to spies. On the other hand, I could be simply reacting to being constantly lied to by the "mainstream".

Anyway, three way more imaginative explanations are:
1)The stations are transmitting commands that are subconsciously received and decrypted, on key frequencies, in order to manipulate the masses.
2)The whole thing is an overcomplicated cover up. Alien civilizations are using radio waves to transmit the secrets of the universe and a globally coordinated effort was launched to keep us from finding out.
3)The characters and numbers transmitted are actually affecting the "matrix code" of the universe from within. Every country is projecting their preferred version of reality. Countries opposed to one another broadcast on the same frequencies, in an attempt to prevent the others version from manifesting.

It sort of makes sense that they still use them as we know any phone or email can be hacked.

Got to disagree there with you Franky.
Any signal can be decrypted and stored. It makes no difference if its propagated through radio waves or any other way.
All it takes is raw processing power, some efficient programming and a few imaginative mathematicians.
That is why photon, DNA and quantum processors are not available for commercial use. Heard the NSA celebrated the first exaflops capable processor a few years ago.

I'm mad into conspiracy, and live all alien talk, but I don't believe this UFO or alien life would be looking to over take us, now if a race was intelligent enough for inter galactic travel or space travel ( what ever it's called ) surely to get to that stage they would need to be a race of higher intelligence hence more evolved than us and thus understanding violence is not they way! so why should people fear contact from other species? if you can travel a cross galaxy's or universes surely it would not be for violent purposes but more likely research or contact or preservation! what does everyone think!

{Ed033's Note - not necessarily. Allegedly, most ETs races are benevolent but a few are not
Not Registered
All space travel requires are resources and unity of vision.
So by having the consent of a worlds population for using a planets resources and lack of global conflict, space travel should be easily achievable.

If that was the case on earth, we would be traveling the solar system by 1960 and near parts of the galaxy by 1980. That's without taking into account the suppression of science that took place in all the years leading to that date.

Here's a hypothetical scenario.
A parasitic species with hive mentality could be traveling the galaxy, moving from planet to planet, pillaging their resources and eradicating all native life forms.
When taking into account the variety of living organisms present on this planet alone, this scenario is highly likely.

So Joseph Stiglitz says that Irelands lack of protest against the parasites in the banks and government is because "It's almost as if you sinned so badly, you have to feel the pain to get redemption" well I didn't realise the bankers felt this way, I suppose their massive bonuses on top of their massive wages cover for that, cause we people did not cause this.

Not Registered
To be fair BigRed, he was talking about what he felt the ECB and the EC thought of Ireland, when he said that. He did say he was surprised the Irish people didn't protest for bailing out the Banks and their bond holders.

Captain Needa

He also said recently that Irish citizens are not so much bailing out the Irish economy, they are bailing out foreign bondholders.

Well ok Joseph that is perfectly true, but it is also common knowledge in Ireland, much like most of the soundbites we hear from you.

Don't forget who he is a guest of. The Clinton Institute.

The bondholders were happy to make obscene amounts of money in the good times, but when Anglo failed the then Irish government rolled over pathetically and guaranteed the bonds. It was pathetic and hugely embarrassing for Irish people to witness the capitulation of Cowen & co.

So when the bondholders are making billions for themselves we're all capitalists, but if things go wrong socialism will cover their losses.

Pass me the sick bag.

Ryan.

Ryan, do you not think he has a point about the Irish peoples lack of protest? I agree wholeheartedly that we have been completely screwed when it comes to the Banks and Bondholders. Not for the first time in Ireland the ordinary people suffer because of the cowardice of our politicians. This country continuously elects people, not on their merits, but because of their family ties to previous gobs****s. This is one of the reasons we suffer from lack of leadership. Why would any of them upset the apple cart when the whole political system in Ireland, is based on a form of nepotism.

Captain Needa
Agree · 1 · Disagree · 0

Yes Captain Needa. Stiglitz is right about the lack of protest but I've heard lots of people say that. He's great at noticing what has already happened. I couldn't care tuppence if he is a Nobel prize winner. He is boring and always telling us what he thinks of yesterdays news. He offers no great insight going forward.

He is only getting airtime and media attention because his visit is sponsored.

He is essentially a historian.

I'm wondering what everyones thoughts are on each of these broadcasters. I have watched and heard lots of different segments of each of these guys shows, but I'm quite torn on who's being truthfull and who's being the scaremongerer.

William Cooper. Read extracts of his book 'Behold a pale horse' found it very interesting, listened to some of his radio broadcasts and found them to be very informative.

Alex Jones. Watched some of films, and shows, he too has some interesting points but he seems a bit much at times.

Jesse Ventura. Again, I've watched quite a few of his shows, also interesting but similar to Jones.

David Icke. Seen quite a few of his shows and listened to what he has to say, interesting also but sounds a bit 'out there' at times.

Cooper was killed by government forces, maybe because he outed a lot of the NWO/ Illuminati agendas. He also didn't really have a good word to say on any of the above theorists, especially Jones and Icke.

Just wondering what peoples thoughts are on all these guys? Are they all worth listening to, or are they just in it to make money?

Not Registered
I spent a few years listening to Alex Jones, Jesse Ventura and David Icke. I see those three as part of the disinformation industry. All three focus on spreading fear and guiding peoples disapproval of this system so as to be permanently expressed through anger and frustration.
The first two by constantly screaming and the last by employing every negative image Hollywood has ever created.
Nothing positive can come out of negative feelings.

I've seen and done my fair share of Guru bashing; but I don't see the point now.

Some of them are more immediately transparent than others, but that's only the way I see it. If you can get something out of it then what more can we ask for? In my experience, each of the talking heads out there can serve as a means to the next level of understanding. Some people seem to get to levels they can't get beyond though, and often I don't think that's their own fault, nor the fault of the man or woman expressing their opinion. Things change, you learn stuff today you didn't know yesterday. It's the same experience for all of us.
That said, i've no doubt there is a nefarious side to this, utterly devoid of innocence and integrity, and what difference would it make if someone told you who these particular characters are?

Keep peeling away the layers of the onion, keep listening, asking questions (of yourself as well), and progressing.

The man/woman who is not afraid to admit they have been fooled is the one that will progress furthest, I think. pea

I find Ventura extremely informative and have learnt from his work, I find him to be a honest guy simply researching different topics, he said in a interview tnrou editing it appears he is louder than is actually true
{Ed033's Note - Unfortunately when Ventura did the episode when he told David Icke, that David was doing the stuff he did just for the money, that told me Ventura has a different agenda than what he portrays.

Thanks guys, maybe I sounded a bit naive in that post. I didn't mean to come across as if 'only one' can be right. Thanks for the replies, just another fellow human being in search of alternative answers to the important issues in life. I would rather listen to any of the above before I would listen to the usual television tripe. Not really bothered in which 'celeb' has had another baby (or bought one) or the usual nonsensical bull that the regular news comes out with.
