ed correct me if i'm wrong but piri reis isn't that the one that's got the coastline for south america absolutely spot on but north america is hazy? Like when it was drawn north america was under a localised ice age due to the north pole being located in the hudson bay? Which puts it at over 10000 years old? If i'm thinking the right one. Mort

{Ed033's Note - From memory, the piri reis map was drawn using previous maps and shows Antarctica spot on and free from ice, shows south america absolutely spot on but i'm unsure how much of north america it actually shows. Antarctica being shown free from ice would put the original map data over 10,000 years old yes.

Unnamed poster, could you please tell me why you wouldn't want these people helping you? Explain to me how exactly the weed would stop, or even hinder a person doing their job. How would it change their mental state from doing it sober? Would they be hearing voices etc after smoking a joint? Would a surgeon get the shakes? Would a lawyer forgot precedents or the prosecutor the brief of evidence? Would a McDonalds worker not put ketchup on my Quarter Pounder?

All honest questions because I don't follow your point. Is somehow being stoned meant to change these people's abilities? Their concentration levels? Would they just be hungry all the time?

its all politics mate, I reckon that maybe they want it to get so bad that they have to go in. I think some sort of intervention in mexico would be easier to sell compared to going half way around the world to the middle east. You know yanks and their grasp of geography, at least they'd know where mexico is. Just the lack of a resource really. Idle question but do any Americans still hold the Monroe Doctrine in effect? Mort {Ed001's Note - just to point out, the Piri Reis map (which incidentally is the one that Columbus was using when he set out to sail to India the 'wrong way') was not created by Piri Reis. It was a copy of a much older map, one that no one knew how old it was, but it was never attributed to the Turkish admiral. Oh and Logan's Run is a classic film, just avoid the series, it is dross!}

Very interesting frankie! I still don't see how he could take his gun from under his pillow without noticing his girl friend wasn't in bed! Surely if he heard a noise he would have checked to make sure she was safe before going to investigate! I honestly don't know what to believe with this one! Can't work out if he did it or didn't! Yes I've heard of them Mort! I watched a documentary on how an ancient map of Antarctica was found in 1929 which showed the land without the ice and water! They believed this map was created by a great Turkish general called Piri Reis I think! It was with this map that ahnenerbe were able to create a fortress that other army was capable of attacking! Also it said they were kind of creating a Kind of X-men school where all 'gifted' people who ad special talents would go! They also believet that Atlantis was the home to superia ones that had advanced knowledge and these were the ones that apparently were flying in helicopter shaped crafts and ufo's as seen in an Egyptian tomb! Scary if it all true!

Mort I was being sarcastic mate about the usa going in to mexico, my main point is the usa have sold millions of dollars worth firearms to mexico, and if they kill each other so be it will be there attitude.
