Very interesting frankie! I still don't see how he could take his gun from under his pillow without noticing his girl friend wasn't in bed! Surely if he heard a noise he would have checked to make sure she was safe before going to investigate! I honestly don't know what to believe with this one! Can't work out if he did it or didn't! But things don't add up!

Mate only one person knows if it was deliberate, I said from the beginning I thought it was a accident that was just a educated guess mainly because of three points.
1 south africa being a violent country were there are plenty of armed robberies targeted at rich homes.
2 he's disability while being in bed.
either way hopefully the real truth will come out.

It just seems like OJ Simpson all over again to me.

I watched a program on him before the Olympics called the fastest man on two blades! Showing his life and the traumas he had to deal with growing up and how he over come them! I came away feeling inspired by him. My first reaction I'll be honest was not guilty but the more I read. I just don't know things simply don't add up!

Also I know it was in south Africa but don't you think it's strange how the American government are trying to get guns banned and all of a sudden there are a number of high profile mass killings with guns! Might be a coincidence but strange non the less

I do think its a coincidence mate, pre Olympics not many of us had heard of him, don't get me wrong it still would have made the news here but not so much of a impact, and yes mate it does sound dodgy the stuff about him but for the life of me unless he was on Prozac or a psychopath why would he shoot he's g/f he has been dating only a few months?like I said mate when the trial starts we will found out, either way he's life is screwed now guilty or not guilty and it would not surprise me in the least if he decides to commit suicide.

I honestly hope he is innocent franky! My opinion on the man hasn't changed I still believe he is inspirational and sincerely hope he is found innocent and doesn't go down the path you mentioned! {Ed001's Note - is he really that inspirational? He just seemed a knob to me, with his hissy fit about the length of the blades etc. For me, no one shoots that many times into a bathroom without checking it isn't just their missus in there, unless they want rid.}

I see what you mean ed but to be told he'd never walk to overcome that, be told he would never compete in school sports yet played rugby with able bodied people! When he came to England for his first ever competitive race with able bodied people and it rained and he was unable to run I felt sorry! I just liked his whole attitude that what ever is thrown in front of him he continued to prove people wrong! Wether he's guilty or not I'm unsure of as like I said I can't see how he took the gun from under his pillow without checking his girlfriend wasn't lying in bed next to where his gun was! {Ed001's Note - just so long as the right result, I mean the truth, is found, that's the important thing, regardless of whether he is inspirational or a knob.}

Exactly ed like is said to Franky there are definatley some things that don't add up! But like you say the right result is the most important thing wether guilty or not!

I agree with ed, Pistorious seemed like a tool after the Olympics, he just looked like a sore loser but at the end of the day, justice is the most important thing.

I think too much of his story doesn't add up.

Far too much Mort. Why was the bathroom door locked? I don't think it was a case her going for an early morning toilet stop, only for him to wake up to a noise, not realise that his missus isn't in his bed and automatically assume its a robber. 4 times she was shot. Behind a door. He fired four times and hit. He must've known she was hiding behind door.

It was valentines day and how many couples would end up fighting on that day. He has a history of gun violence. I honestly can't see how his story can hold up. His background prior, should have absolutely no bearing on the case. Athletes are humans to, and are just as susceptible to human emotions us the general public.

Agreed Melbourne. You'd at least notice if your bed was occupied or not. And how many robbers lock themselves in the toilet? You'd at least say who's in there i'm armed and dangerous. And four shots? Mort

Exactly. Morts if you and your wife (in this case gf) went to bed together, and in the middle of the night you awoke to a noise coming from the bathroom. Whether you have legs or not, would your first thought be what's noise. You would hear its coming from the bathroom which is an unsuite in this case. Would you immediately pull a gun out if you lived in a dangerous area, or look next to you, realise the woman you went to bed with wasn't their and put 2 and 2 together?

The excuse he has made has no logic, the evidence shows she was locked in the bathroom. He shot 4 times and hit which in my mind says that a domestic happened, he grabbed the gun she ran into the bathroom and locked the door, which he when he fired directly at the door.

I don't know how people can't see there is no chance this bloke is innocent. The fact he had prostectic legs and claims alaways feared robbers make zero plausible sense at all!

That makes the most sense. I was a bit confused about what he was saying about his legs. They wasn't on or were they? If he'd been in bed then obviously they'd be off. But would you put them on and go hunting for robbers? Myself i'd just stay in bed with the gun, let them come to me and be straight on the phone. But he's saying he put them on and went to look? I'm not buying it. I think he's killed her, maybe in a blind rage, calmed down and realised what he's done and then panicked and had to invent. Mort

I do agree it looks dodgy guys but what's the motive? if it comes out in the trial he was a jealous freak or she was planning on ending the the relationship then I agree with you all, let's wait until the trial guys, famous saying innocent until proven guilty.

Franky true innocent till proven guilty. I just think that there are too many inconsistancies and strange bits in his story, as the bail hearing judge said. We don't know what went on prior, only two people did. One can't say and the other can say whatever he wants and can't be contradicted. That could cause enough reasonable doubt. Its down to the prosecution to prove he acted on the knowledge of who was in the bathroom. I do think he went mad did it in blind rage after an argument then realised what he did. However I wasn't there so its all just supposition. Mort

He didn't put his legs on straight away! He was getting a fan off the balcony without his legs, heard a noise crawled to the bed! Got his gun crawled to the bathroom fired his gun a number of times, crawled back to the bed got his legs on! Then got a baseball bat and went to investigate! I honesty can't see how through all this he never realised his missus wasn't in the bed!

that makes even less sense crawling about with no legs. Mort

So he fired off shots with a gun, then crawled back to bed to get a baseball bat - a less effective weapon.

Yeah, right. Bull.

The guy is guilty as sin. How many times a week does your missus get out of bed to use the toilet?! Was he firing shots 4 times a week? What made this one instance any different from any other time she'd got up to use the toilet during the night?

Finally, if he was worried, the first instinct would be to reach over to see if your missus was okay. not to mention, you can tell if your alone in bed or not without even looking or reaching out a lot of the time. Body-heat etc.

It's a crock. He's guilty and hopefully he gets his just desserts.
