I'm glad you spent the time and effort to get some good facts down there Melbourne. The fact the word drugs strikes fear into most people. Drugs in real terms are a whole massive bag pardon the pun, paracetamol , aspirin etc but get called medication and millions of prescribed drugs have unbelievable side effects and destroy the body far more than most so called illegal drugs the only difference is that the illegal drugs have a very obvious effect and to be fair the whole criminalisation of them is just pure control because it can make you see the world in a different light and no government wants you to think outside the box so any displays of such thinking get called psychosis or dilusional. But I must stress that like all substance it can have an adverse effect and it's very much down to self control and the individual. But I strongly believe people should be classed as criminals for wanting to enjoy there own time not bothering anyone else

I think that video games are a bit of an easy target because it seems more obvious that it could create behaviour problems, but in reality there a lots of things that can cause these problems and most of them are very subliminal. Most kids in my opinion copy other kids and try and fit in just depends on how impressionable they are. I used to love Mario and all that fly agaric chomping didn't influence me at all lol. I'd seen some 'expert' in his mid 60's giving his ten peneth in on the evils of bloody minecraft ffs he thought that kids now want to turn themselves into heavily pixilated blocks and fly through the sky looking for an ender dragon. He obviously didn't watch magic roundabout in his early days and probably watched re runs of captain pugwash instead, I hope he didn't call any of his kids Rodger

HoneyBadger, I was trekking in Argentina when I was in my twenties. to make a long story short we came across a little village. the chief welcomed U.S. and they were in the middle of some ritual. we knew they were out of it by looking at them and they offered us this root.
I knew it would take us out of reality for a while, so myself and two others sat down and took this root. for 12 hours I couldn't see stars but actually thought I was one. I saw things that night you couldn't even dream of. one of the boys with me got on a plane two days later he got freaked over it and he hasn't left Ireland since, now everyone I meet him we laugh about it.

I'm not posting from a place of complete ignorance mate, whereas you are. Do you know why cigarettes are taxed so massively? To offset the cost to the public health system because of the destruction they cause to the human body. It has nothing to do with marijuana. Rather then looking at an example like Amsterdam, where Cafes can charge stupid rates because they know most of the tourists that visit, do so just to get high. Look at Colorado, where Marijuana is sold at a cheaper price than on the streets, quality is far better and taxes are going directly to public schooling and health systems. Where crime is at its lowest point in 15 years, along with drink driving offences as well as violence. Or Portugal, where all drugs are decriminalised and some legal, and addiction rates have been cut from 30 to 5%, along with a drop in crime.
How about Switzerland's new(ish) approach to heroin addiction where they are setting up clinics to give patients up to two grams a day, intravenously, and where there has been no impact on health, while crime rates plummet and productivity remains stable.
Once again mate, if you want to have a debate or as you put it an opinion, on something, at the very least educate yourself on what is actually being done, and focus on the places where legalisation has happened, and the results from it. Rather then basing it on an uneducated view of tobacco taxation, and a place known solely for marijuana cafes.
As growbun pointed out, now that studies are being done on illegal substances, results are showing the wide ranging benefits they can have on mental health, when used correctly. there's a reason pharmaceutical companies have been using this substances for a long time, to combat problems with health, and why they are actively lobbying to keep us from obtaining them ourselves, through easily accessible and legal avenues.

I did think before I typed, did you? I'm only giving my opinion on the facts iv seen in Amsterdam the drug dealers have the same quality but sell it cheaper. Now Britain has one of the highest tax rates for cigarettes, why would they not do the same for ganja? If the government did legalize it and it became widespread they would have a monopoly of tax off of it which in my opinion the price of the ganja would be greater than the drug dealers just out of sheer greed. let's face it the British government are just greedy money loving people.

Mushrooms can be a dark hole honey, I made the mistake of doing 2000 between three my first go and well I shivered and cried. Liberty caps are pretty much as strong a mushie as you can get per gram. If you fancy an introduction into dmt I suggest you try and get hold of some changa and mix it up with a bit of MJ and vape it. You will see the Aztec patterns but not breakthrough (once you breakthrough whoa) and I must strongly reinforce leahy s point if you have demons hallucinogenic scan make a boy out of you or a man?!

Leahy I will admit that for me it was purely recreational, at the time, nothing more to it. But plenty of people do take these substances responsibly and to expand their consciousness, as Melbourne and growbun will tell you.
I'm assuming you have tried it seeing as you seem to think it doesn't work?
Exercise is great for releasing endorphins and I'm sure most people know that its good to keep fit and active. Both activities are in no way mutually exclusive though.

How in the world would the underground black market still sell drugs, if the price and quality was cheaper through regulation, and access would be easy as there would be shops selling them?
Think before you type mate.
Spot on growbun, the war on drugs worked about as well if not worse then whatthe current war on terror will.

Even if its legal the underground black market won't go away they'll keep on selling guns, ammunition and drugs. Its a real problem in Glasgow were I'm from so many wannabe gangsters wanna make there mark on the city. Back to the point when I was in Amsterdam the government regulated cannabis cafes were extortionate for weed. The locals there still use underworld drug dealers because there product is cheaper than the cafes. I think the same would happen here unfortunately.

Having had many of the best nights of my life on pills and mdma and having such a fondness for weed I always assumed I would enjoy mushrooms. But my first trip was a horror show (even though it started well) and I've tried it a few times since but always ended in a bad trip, almost like I unlocked the door to that negative feeling the first time round. It may not have helped that my first time was to take 2 large doses of strong foreign shrooms, either from Hawaii or Mexico, I forget which. Since then even the local species end up in a bad trip just not so extreme. The one interesting thing I noticed was after that experience I had unlocked the ability to trip when taking large amounts of mdma, really vivid changes in perception and colour but always positive - unlike my experiences on mushrooms. I always wondered why that was but never looked into it thoroughly, it was just like a switch had occurred in my brain.
I'm going away next year and will have the opportunity to try ayahuasca but I'm thinking its not a great idea given my previous experiences with natural hallucinogens. Is it of a similar effect?
I can however see how shrooms etc. can be of benefit in terms introspectively analysing ones self because I did see things in myself that I had never noticed before. Just a shame it usually ended badly!

Beethoven and Mozart of course, lots of js Bach pieces too. I like more modern classical also - some of Vaughan Williams pieces are incredible and perfect for relaxing or reading.
I turned 30 less than a year ago and almost found that I liked classical music overnight. Just found myself flicking to classic fm in the car and leaving it on! I find I helps with de-stressing, concentration and just having a good long think about things (pondering).

Boys I think ye are confusing consciousness with getting stoned out of yer head,ye are tripping,
Music is good for drifting away, what ye are talking about can be dangerous for someone with a weak mind, most people would get freaked out from them plants,
Lads do ye know what's great for the mind body and soul, exercise take up something you have never done before and start small,as the weeks go by and you feel yourself getting fitter it's a great high.
I played sport all my life but now I'm in the 40s I took up cycling last year great for the head,I do sportives cycle for charities,it's great deadly buzz when your finished,I never thought cycling was for me but I get a great high from it,

Sensory deprivation tanks? You do know they were used by the kgb as an interrogation technique? Far more effective than torture. Sorry digressing a bit there.
Music fits the mood. I find Beethoven and Mozart work quite well.

Melbourne, that's the route I take and it's unbelievable. I remember my first hit of vaped dmt. Oh my god I saw God and outer space visions and ascended beings. And it doesn't stop there. the afterglow is a month long pure unadulterated happiness and a real feeling of privilege. It's so easy to pull from bark as well. Ayahuasca route is also awesome but very full on. you need to book a weekend off and always always fast before.

Honestly the whole lot of it is bollocks! They should legalise the lot and provide clean safe drugs and get rid of the underground. People want drugs they get them and all the money wasted on trying to police it is obviously not working. And as for medicinal benefits you get psylocin that helps depression, mdma for ptsd (proved) shulgin work on it for the American government and you also have iboga that is pretty much bomb proof for treating addiction.
But then where would the profit be if they didn't sell subitex and methadone, it really is all a crock of crap. Sugar and added salt are more dangerous than most of the illegal substances fact, and we let our kids feast on it.
