I think the sex allegations are flimsy to say the least and just a ploy to get him extradited to the US. Also since (alleged) sex crimes are such an emotive issue, it is a clever way to change public perception of him from heroic to deviant. It's nothing more than cheap tin pot psychology, but sadly most people will buy the story based on the headline, regardless of facts.
I personally think he is a very courageous man.

I think that is to obvious after all some Scottish people strangely still want to be part of the uk and will protest. in Venezuela now its happening around 70% of the people are happy with there government but the 30% (rich pro USA) are protesting /rioting like in the Ukraine and its getting reported as students getting killed which is a media spin. go on YouTube mate and watch south of the border by Oliver stone (who made the JFK movie) and it will explain what really goes on better than I can.

Do you think Assange is a sex criminal?

I see what you're saying. I wonder if the commonwealth games will pass without incident, I mean if there was a staged attack then I think it could alter the whole process with a lot of yes voters backing the no campaign. What do you think will /could happen?

Indeed I have no time for sex criminals, the lowest of the low.
Manning is an idealist, easy to use as a tool if you hit the right buttons.
Yes snowden got around far too easily. I rule out cia, too much noise, Moscow centre needed a high profile success after recent failures to show their back in the game.
The 90's were a disaster, budget cuts, defections, the old guard leaving, the rest no morale, the new generation no pride. Then the Chapman farce, although i'd love to debrief her, was a mess. Heads rolled for that one. Something Snowden was a big success. Made the Americans think. Now with increased budget things could get interesting. Wonder who has my old job.

Roddy I mean paid activist rioting like they have all over the middle east and no doubt the Ukraine, in all those countries they have got genuine people who do not like there government and do peaceful protests, then you have your balaclava mob who join in (hired hands)then it kicks off add in to the mix you have your opportunists thieves, next thing you know the army are called in,
don't put it past this government or even the other lot, they need Scottish gas and that Freemason knows that (salmond) you are right though either way you will get shafted either way.

Kim I have always found it strange how snowdon got all over the world without getting picked up, I thought he was either a C. I. A diss info agent or was getting help like you said with the K. G. B.
Manning was the fall guy in all this now he is paying for it inside, Assange a vile man?as in his private life with the sex scandals?

I don't think it will come to any riots, maybe a few persons on the streets but that's it. Its a vote to see who you want to shaft you, whether its holyrood or Westminster. i'm personally sitting on the fence however I do like to laugh at the scaremongering going on. I think an independent Scotland could thrive quickly and hopefully pull out of the EU altogether.

Ah Franky, Manning and Assange were crusaders doing what they did from their own moral viewpoint, whether you agree or disagree. Assange is a vile man with vile views but bad men doing good things is a different topic. Manning, well the man was a liability due to his proclivities, easy to blackmail and being in uniform makes it worse to theme authorities.
Snowden I strongly suspect is a kgb asset. The way he got out the country, the fact he went to south America, stayed in a kgb safe house, the route he went to Moscow, disappearing for weeks for debriefing, his public appearances with obvious kgb minders, the fact of what was released, this was just to panic the americantski as they knew what he had. Kgb wouldn't release the juicy bits as its leverage. They had to allow the Americans to remove the legal spies without fuss whilst Moscow went after the illegals. The rules of the game have to followed. Moscow loved getting their hands on sensitive information but you have to play it correctly or risk reprisals. Kgb needed this success after the Anna Chapman business. The won't release any sensitive data to the public as its too useful for many reasons. What they have released was chicken feed for the public to embarrass langley.

It will be interesting to see what happens next. The Russian speaking majority in the East are right to be fearful. My generation have not forgotten what the Russians did during Russification and the stamping out of Ukrainian nationalism.
This is not to excuse anything that may happen but to try to explain to fellows who may be interested but do not understand there complexities.

Kim the Ukraine people are in a no win situation and I feel for them, definite tension brewing between the east and west, the west know they have to ignite protests/demonstrations to get there feet under the door with Russia and china becoming more dominant with the way they gave the USA a bloody nose in the Syria saga, like always the political chess games only do one thing, innocent people get killed.

The President was acting unconstitutionally by giving himself extra powers, the people rightfully protested. Imagine if Cameron decided he wanted extra powers and locked up the likes of Miliband, what do you think the reaction here would be?
Ukrainians are proud and stubborn and not a people you want to piss off. Ukraine is a complex place due to religion, ethnography and history. It has always been divided between east and west. Out of all of the other soviet republics, Ukraine came in for the most russification, and the one that was most feared.
Moscow has its panties in a twist as it does not want to lose influence in a large neighbour or have the European union on its doorstep. The current leadership is on an ego driven mission to try and show that Russia has regained its super power status after the disasters of the 1990's. Hence high prestige events like the winter olympics and the world cup, intervening in Syria and rearming the military.

As opposed to playing into Moscows hands?
This is the opening of a new cold war. However things in Ukraine are not as simple as an east west split.

Yeah, I agree his documentaries are well made and very thought provoking. He is a great film maker, I just don't necessarily think he has that 'daily' journalistic ability like PJW, for example.

Hey Ryan, pea said that Alex Jones is Bill Hicks as well.
There are a lot of similarities, but Hicks didn't seem like someone to take themselves seriously. Jones on the other hand, hasn't let a laugh out for ages.
What could change someone so much?

True Franky, but you could say that about Spivey too. If they had to check every detail they would need to employ a big team of researchers. Sometimes they run with info on the hoof, and will inevitably get it wrong from time to time. But AJ woke a lot of people up (including me) to Waco. He also looks remarkably like you know who in those vids :)
