Franky I don't think they have any gold or if they do it's mortgaged to China and belongs to them you can't be trillions in debt and keep adding to it without any security, it's got to hit the ceiling sooner rather than later we all set up for a fall, cash is worthless spend what you have and enjoy it while it lasts as hardship is coming.

Right at this time the relationship between the bbc and the government is strained to say the least, the bbc have finances cut by the tories and have been told to" make do" maybe they have cut funding to distance themselves from the savile scandal and in turn maybe letting brand get his point across was having a dig back at the tories, who knows?
i do not like paxman particularly but brand was right and said you have been tearing strips of politicians for years because you know they are chatting **** (my interpretation)

Personally I really enjoyed his interview with Paxman but one thing that instantly struck me as strange was that his anti-politics views were allowed to be broadcast on that show and even painted him in a positive light IMO. Paxman did seem to try to give it to him but he batted him off every time, I just found it strange that the BBC allowed such an anti-establishment message to be put out without trying harder to ridicule it.

Perhaps I'm thinking about it too much.

Russell Brand has always harboured sensationalist and extreme views; particularly in respect of how mainstream media distributes information. this recent interview is nothing new.

Love this site but some people are over paranoid, brand has in his entire career been out spoken about his belief and opinions, this was another example of him being in a position that he has been asked his opinion on certain subjects and has given it, hasn't diluted it or changed it from earlier quotes just spoke his honest opinion, I wonder if the people doubting him are actually aware of his past /career or are making a opinion on one interview, either way I find it very sad that when a person of his magnitude speaks out against the system in place and is met with such negativity, oh and now Katy perry is under mind control as well so he must be, I think a lot of people need to reavaluate there ability to sense a patsy of some kind

I find Frankys question as absolutely valid. Most of us here understand that there is profit to be made from peoples desperation but why would anybody be buying gold at times like this? Sure it's a descent counter-inflation investment but not if things really change. There are no hard assets anymore, as land can be reclaimed and redistributed, money/gold made irrelevant as negative inflation currencies are introduced and there is zero chance of a gold standard being reintroduced or of gold being the main commodity for barter. Why would then, according to my information, Swiss based corporations be buying the last gold in public hands in mass? Unless they are oblivious enough to think the system will be the same after the coming evolution, it makes no sense.

Mate everyone has different opinions and its good to debate, a few times a regular or one of the edds has changed my opinion with facts or a alternative point of view and rethought my opinion, not often like ha (joke) in my opinion brand does not preach he gets asked by the media, as for his fame and wealth well he has been on question time a few times and he made the point the corporations and people of a certain wealth should pay the bulk of the taxes and people like him, also remember he was never brought up with a silver spoon in his mouth, good call about the kenneth williams thou ha.

I admire his confidence whilst wondering where exactly it comes from, I have no invested belief in him though I agree entirely with what he said in the Paxman interview (as did Paxman), some will call him schill, others saviour - It's inevitable people will be divided over him, personally i'd rather scratch my eyes out than debate over his credentials; and in my opinion what we have here is a wonderful p. o. e. (point of entry) for people who have yet to wake up, or are just beginning to. Misguided or not it's irrelevant; we are so screwed anyway that it doesn't matter. The sooner people realise there is no Saviour, that to surrender one's own unit of power to another is foolish, and that they themselves carry the responsibility of the world, the better, and if RB sets them off in this direction, then good.

No, it's a lot simpler than that. We are in dire times at the moment. a lot of the country is crippled with debts and bills add to the fact they may have lost there jobs. These adverts are just exploiting these weaknesses and getting them to part with there gold in exchange for cash. The price they offer is pathetic as they sell it on for a much larger profit. Again this may be a little far fetched for the majority of posters on here.

Hmm just read back my last post and it does not make any sense to me never mind anyone else, I will try to explain it better.

a guy on a different website who I think has good intentions is basically suspicious of everyone in the media and normal people and sites, his site according to him is being monitored, I won't go into too much detail but he is convinced.

the thing that gets me mad is when he accuses other people and sites as being shills (had to google shill)now to my main point about russell brand just because he has a few bob and is famous he is treated as suspicious seeking more publicity which I think is a load of ****.

to me the more famous the better if they have the right motives, I am no david beckham lover but I would be his biggest supporter if he had the same beliefs as brand and made it public but that is not going to happen.

Tbh I don't remember exactly why but for some reason there is something unique about copper that meant it would be more expensive (it was quite a few years ago so my memory may be playing its usual tricks!) Actually is platinum a better conductor than gold?
