i watch a lot of the reality gold tv shows on tv and the dangers they go threw to get it, the thing is there must must be about 4 or 5 shows now and the price of gold is rising, it can mean only one thing paper money is going to be worthless, one thing gets me curious about gold, to me it has to have some hidden use than just looking good and for decoration, has anyone read why it is so valuable?i have read something about aliens need it for some reason but I am still unsure about its use.

Something to do with protecting their atmosphere on the planets their from, hence why the sudden interest in it, to try and get everyone to sell up. Is it any coincidence that the a Illuminati puppet Gordon Brown sold all our reserves off cheap!

Gold is a great conductor which is why it is used in high quality cables. However, there is talk of peculiar interaction between gold and light under certain conditions, due to its high conductivity in combination with its molecular structure.
Some people advocate ingesting colloidal gold and mono-atomic gold as it supposedly allows your body to hold more charge on a cellular level, amplifying thought manifestation capabilities. Colloidal gold is created by using gold rods in water electrolysis. I am not sure on the method used to produce mono-atomic gold.

It doesn't rust and can be made into very fine pieces to reflect the suns rays.

I think monotomic gold only exists for billionths of a second, bit of a technicality. Just sounds like sci fi to me!
Once heard a quote about gold and its usefulness, if we could replicate metals ( a la star trek ) then the cost of copper would be higher than gold as copper has more uses.
Something like that anyway.

I am not sure about monoatomic gold either, as it could be just another money making scheme.
As for matter replicators though, gold would definitely be the most used metal if in abundance. The only reason we use silver and copper in industry right now is because gold is so expensive. All three metals exhibit the same characteristics (conductivity, malleability etc. ) on different scales. However, gold tops both copper and silver on all parameters.

Tbh I don't remember exactly why but for some reason there is something unique about copper that meant it would be more expensive (it was quite a few years ago so my memory may be playing its usual tricks!) Actually is platinum a better conductor than gold?
Anyway interesting stuff zari thx.

No, it's a lot simpler than that. We are in dire times at the moment. a lot of the country is crippled with debts and bills add to the fact they may have lost there jobs. These adverts are just exploiting these weaknesses and getting them to part with there gold in exchange for cash. The price they offer is pathetic as they sell it on for a much larger profit. Again this may be a little far fetched for the majority of posters on here.

I'm intrigued, if it does come back to you please post it on here. Regarding your question, gold is about 5 times more conductive than platinum.

I find Frankys question as absolutely valid. Most of us here understand that there is profit to be made from peoples desperation but why would anybody be buying gold at times like this? Sure it's a descent counter-inflation investment but not if things really change. There are no hard assets anymore, as land can be reclaimed and redistributed, money/gold made irrelevant as negative inflation currencies are introduced and there is zero chance of a gold standard being reintroduced or of gold being the main commodity for barter. Why would then, according to my information, Swiss based corporations be buying the last gold in public hands in mass? Unless they are oblivious enough to think the system will be the same after the coming evolution, it makes no sense.

As a keen student of your postings, AP, let me see if i've got it right - everything is just exactly how it seems; correct? pea
