I have a question for Ed and the flat earthers. I don’t believe this theory but I also don’t believe everything I’m told and am prepared to listen to the other side of an argument and have watched all the videos posted here. However, the flat earth videos do contain a lot of contradictions and bad science. For example, many I have seen state the sun and moon are in fact only about 4 miles above us. Some of these same videos then also say that we have never visited the moon and can’t get out of near earth orbit.
Now I don’t believe in flat earth or the moon conspiracy, but if their assertions are true then
1) Standard air flights are at 5-7 miles up, so we would be flying above the sun and moon
2) Referring back to point 1, there would be no near earth orbit as our planes are already above the moon and so could presumably land on it :)
TJ70 I would be interested in your evidence or source that the moon is a light source? Because the moon is a massive rock like the earth. The reason why the sun gives us light is because it is undergoing a fusion reaction and the results of that reaction is photons getting emitted.
If you want to get technical, everything does give of light, but not visible light. Any blackbody that has heat emits electromagnetic radiation. For humans, we emit light in the infrared spectrum, which is why thermal imaging works on people. The higher the temperature, the higher the frequency.
In other words, the moon gives off low energy light but the moon is not nearly hot enough to emit visible light. The material on the lunar surface reflect the light from the sun to shine.
You are being unfair to Standard Ed, what you are saying is not correct. It may seem preposterous that with the photon model of light that a large shell of emitted electrons would eventually get so thinned out after light-years of travel they would still be visible or detectable even. But brightness is what diminishes, not the photons themselves. If even a couple photons per second from that point in the sky make it to your eye, then it's visible. The more photons, the more brightness. It will never be zero. Out of 300 billion stars in the Milky Way only about 9,000 stars are close enough and bright enough to be visible to the naked eye. That is brighter than magnitude 6.5, the traditional criterion for naked-eye visibility.
In total their combined light isn't much. Their combined magnitude is almost exactly –5. The Sun is 487,530,000 times brighter than the 9000 visible stars in total which says that the light from these 9000 stars is 0.0000002 % of the total starlight hitting the Earth.

There seems to be a complete misunderstanding of the hospital position. My other half is a nurse and up to the vaxs coming out there were wards full of C.V. patients. The hospital was not as full overall because:
1) Lockdown meant less accidents and a&e was not as busy
2) Possible C.V. cases were not seen in a&e but taken direct to designated 'Red wards' to prevent any spread
3) All non essential operations were cancelled to free up capacity and prevent cross infection.
So there were empty areas due to no operations, specialised wards closed for appointments whilst they concentrated on C.V. and stopping cross infections.
To say the hospitals were empty is not just untrue but also disrespectful to the many medical professionals who caught and died from C.V. in the early months of the C.V., my gf knew nurses who had died.
Just watched the Paul Weston video and he seems to fall into the same trap as what he is accusing the government of. His argument that false positive tests should be discounted seems reasonable, however, on this basis then we should also discount false negatives to be balanced. The number of false negatives, which could actually be positive, is said to be between 2% and 20%. If like Paul, we use the lower figure then what we deduct on one side then we are just adding back on the other. I agree that the tests aren’t conclusive, but this works both ways.
Hi. I also do not believe in the flat earth idea. Peoples beliefs are their own choice but I think it is disingenuous to claim proofs that are in fact nothing of the sort. A few points. None of those quoted suggested we could not leave low earth orbit. In fact Trump has announced NASA returning to the moon and plans for Mars. Obama was behind deep space unmanned missions. No one has returned to the moon on a manned mission due to cost and because we have been there and have no reason to return. The inverse square of light explains how and why we do see stars, not that it is impossible to do so. Our eyes only need to pick up 1 proton for the light to be visible. We can only see 9000 of the 300 billion stars in the Milky Way with our naked eye and the inverse law is the explanation for this. If the earth is flat then how can I see the sun rise and set over the ocean, moving in and out of view? And if the earth was flat and I looked out at empty ocean from the west coast of a USA or south coast of Australia then surely I would see the Antarctic Ice walls apparently surrounding us?
I’m not really sure what you think you are seeing then? Throughout the month we see the moon go through different phases until full moon. If the video is saying there is only half a moon then where does the rest of it suddenly appear from and disappear to during the month. We see a small crescent all the way to a full moon, and the video doesn’t address that or make any explanation for just saying there’s only half a moon.
Hi. but you are looking at the moon from Earth, the light is coming from the sun. So the sun is hitting the whole of the front side of the moon that faces the sun. The half we cannot see is the back of the moon from the suns perspective. So if you shone a torch at a pool ball it wouldn’t light up the back of the ball for example.
Hi. The moon itself doesn't emit any light like the sun. What we see when we see the moon is sunlight reflected off the moon. The phase of the moon is how much of the moon appears to us on Earth to be lit up by the sun. So here we can only see the half of the moon that is being hit by the sunlight. As the moon orbits the earth throughout the month then we see more Phases through to full moon. Hope that helps.
