Quick question for Kim, would the story (or should that be myth? ) of the 28 heroes be considered as a conspiracy? The Soviet Union did, after all, cover up the papers that revealed they didn't really exist.

Other thing is, the BBC history hour podcast mentioned both that and had a piece on the other Kim Philby, thought you might be interested in them.

I know they are saying the worry is about people using this just for TV ads, but this is a lot more worrying to me than just in reference to ads. What else can be signaled to your phone as you pass objects? Could it be used by the Govt to ping things to your phone as you pass objects such as lamp posts etc:

The FDA in the US has approved the sale of genetically engineered salmon as a food. Not really a surprise, they are desperately trying to peddle GM foods, even though there has been no opportunity to test their long term effects on us humans to really know if they are safe or not.

The worst thing of all is that FDA has ruled that the salmon does not have to be labeled differently, despite its different origins. That is the most worrying thing of all for me, to not give people the choice.

I was just reading about the Marilyn Monroe case, it is quite obvious that there is more to it than meets the eye, but what exactly do you think happened? Do you think the FBI files related to her (they tracked her constantly) will ever make the public domain?

Interesting that Putin has come out and said what a lot of other people feel is true: global warming is a fraud. I actually agree with him, it is cyclical and the only reason people are panicking is because the evidence that doesn't go along with the accepted theories is hidden. Such as the university deleting all the data that didn't tie in with global warming theory.

I was talking to Ed033 yesterday, after doing some research on some new conspiracies to raise up as subjects for the 'Poll of the Day' question. I was very surprised when he was telling me how little coverage there is of the conspiracies that have taken place within the sphere of military history.

Obviously there is famous ones such as Pearl Harbour and Coventry, with both attacks being allowed to take place with the full knowledge of their respective governments. Most conspiracy sites seem to skirt those kind of conspiracies, even though they show just what kind of things governments are capable of, and in many cases have similarities to things which took place outside of wartime.

For instance, the UK's constant meddling in the Middle East, to protect its oil interests, in particular the Oman, has been very well documented. Ranulph Fiennes, for instance, has written books on the subject, one leading to an attempt on his life, which he also wrote a book about and was turned into a film starring Jason Statham.

It makes me wonder why the conspiracy sites are not mentioning these kind of conspiracies, that have a lot more available evidence than most they do cover. Is the murder of Commander 'Buster' Crabbe, which has plentiful evidence of a British cover up, going unmentioned for a valid reason?

It does make me wonder if these well known sites are real or just mouthpieces for disinformation. Why not present very clear evidence of these conspiracies, as they showcase so many of the methodologies still used by the secret services to this day.
