Americans always talk about god. They don't mean a religious god they mean a financial one.

The cia supplied the mujihadeen with supplies and trainers. To protect they're drugs.

The bin laden family is big in construction. The crane that collapsed onto the grand mosque in mecca a few weeks ago was one of there's.

I just asked a simple question. Sometimes I struggle with zari's posts. Remember this isn't my first language. What some of you are talking about is social conditioning. Its been attempted before.

Whilst I agree surroundings and experience play a part in conditioning is the right message being sent out. Nothing is wrong with aspiration. Again its been tried in having most of society on a level field.

Yes some crimes are driven by envy of what others have. But violent or sexual crimes are different. Its about power and control.

Regional presenters? If you lived in the east midland region you wouldn't be familiar with Scottish newsreaders.

No worries. Counter espionage people are hard core. They'd have grilled him for hours. Went through it myself once. After finally got out I cried for about 2 hours.

Bond is entertaining but not too realistic.

CTR it does happen but there are easier ways. Especially in a high tech age. You can manufacture leaks of an electronic nature. Hacking. All easier and more believable than having a guy walk in and go hey look what I've got. The guy would have to be the greatest actor ever or truly believe what he's doing. And that level of conditioning does leave signs. Basically if its not convincing enough its a suicide mission.

Again walk in defectors are rarely trusted. Penkovsky was rejected by the Americans and the British only took him on as they were desperate after the events of the late 50s.

Also pure black Intel ops are becoming rarer. This is a digital age. Everything is available if you have skilled people.

The old ways aren't used so much now. Tradecraft is a skill sought after. Smiley has been well and truly put out to pasture.

Double agents are rare outside of fiction.

Bare in mind went he first went to Russia he disappeared for several weeks.

During this time the counter espionage people would have had him and pulled him apart. Several times. No one trusts walk in defectors and no one is as paranoid as my countrymen.

They would have found out his motivations and if he was a double or not.

He's rare in that he seems motivated by ethics, morals or ideology.

Usually you turn people by the 3 Bs: Blackmail, bribery and bullshit. Any or all of them. Snowden doesn't fit any of them.

Franky I think the new laws was more of an over reaction to Snowdon than part of the plan. Shutting the door after the horse?

If Snowden is a plant he'll return home in the next couple of years.

Depends on the context. Maybe its like the Kennedy assassination, people have spent 50 years talking about 2nd or 3rd shooters, the grassy knoll etc. But no one asks the important questions. Maybe the same with 911.

As for Snowden. I'm undecided. I agree with the editor if they wanted him dead they could accomplish it. Although once in Russia and in the hands of Moscow centre they'd have a job. But he's the best coup the centre has managed in 20 years. The Intel he's provided has been the real deal. And some of the stuff leaked has been highly damaging for Washington. I can't see them shooting themselves in the feet like that.

There also the largest land owners in Britain. Not to mention the foreign land portfolio, the shares, art collections.

Assange managed to get to an embassy. Its the one place that your safe. Unless you have a middle eastern rent a mob outside. No one will touch him inside an embassy because once that rule goes then what? Diplomatic immunity is a life saver. How many arab embassy staff have got off with crimes in London by waving their accreditation. If anything happened to him inside an embassy, and it was provable responsibility in one direction or the other then the international outcry would be huge.

Well the Americans do try. Ah Vladimir it's a long way from Dresden.

Here's one for you. By supporting Assad and dragging Syria out its inflated the refugee crisis. Europes now swamped with migrants and pushed Syria back up the agenda and the eu have forgotten Ukraine. Now that's 3 moves ahead and check.
