i hope there isn't a second, it will just create more division. The remain will rejoice, if they have a second we know the outcome, and leave will then stand up and be ridiculed for claiming democracy doesn't exist.

I am no fan of DC but actually felt he left with a little bit of dignity in his speech.
also after the Germans said there would be no way back they're already clamouring to have us back. So don't celebrate just yet my. view is we will have a relationship with the EU just as before, just sold to the majority differently.
ed033, it would be far too easy to rig, if it's heavy towards remain something will be dodgy. But I can see how it will go, it will be the 'leave are just being paranoid and conspiracy theorists!'.
It's amazing how once the votes are in, they're already starting to talk about the downsides of EU, expect to see a lot more bad Europe stories over the coming days.
Think remain have won, but thought that would be the case when it was first announced.
Hsf, I think the 'bookies odds' are the last method to try influence voters. Makes it look like a landslide for remain and think it's targeting the undecided voters. Just my opinion though.

So I spent a couple of days in Germany this week and was watching BBC world news (only channel in english) and there was stories about Poland protests and the same in Greece (far worse situation) . So upon returning today I thought I'd see how it was reported and it seems like it hadnt. Both would put the EU in a horrible light. I'm happy to be proved wrong but if they haven't reported it this is going a little too far for me.

The budget aka, put in loads of ways to screw the general public, remove a couple of radical ideas to look like they are compromising with the public but still leave us out of pocket. Result? Majority of the public think they won, the government know they have won. And the rest of us, well we are left thinking about the mess the powers that be have left us in.
