Reading this more and more these days. It's worrying.

This is the actual quote.

"When Mexico sends its people, they're not sending their best. They're not sending you. They're sending people that have lots of problems, and they're bringing those problems with us. They're bringing drugs. They're bringing crime. They're rapists. And some, I assume, are good people. "

He did insult Mexicans, but I haven't seen the quote where he says all Mexicans are rapists.

I don't like Trump, but Clinton would have been a nightmare for Russia and the middle east.

It's disappointing to hear Chimamanda Ngozi Adichiesay say that as a white man you don't get to define what racism is. By saying this, she is trying to create a hierarchy on the subject, and narrow the conversation, which is a pity.

There are disgusting levels of racism in the US, but rather than direct her anger at Trump, this woman might want to ask Barack Obama why did things actually get worse for black Americans under his presidency?

If you mean affected by man, as in, impacted upon by us, then yes I am inclined to agree. If you mean effected by man, as in brought about by us, then no, I don't believe so. We're almost certainly making things worse, but we're not the cause per se. Climate change is an inevitable consequence of climate.

More scaremongering from the climate change brigade. But there is plenty of uncertainty and disagreement within the scientific community if you look beyond the headlines. They really don't know, and opinions vary greatly from one scientific group to the next.

Of course the biggest shock here is that the scientists allow their names to be attached to their findings. Unlike the carbon dating scientific community where everyone is working in secrecy according to KP and Ed001. Well, apart from any of the published lists of hundreds of carbon dating laboratories around the world anyway :)

A couple of quotes from the article Ed033 kindly shared.

Dr Tobias Friedrich, one of the authors of the paper, said: “Our results imply that the Earth’s sensitivity to variations in atmospheric carbon dioxide increases as the climate warms.

“Currently, our planet is in a warm phase – an interglacial period – and the associated increased climate sensitivity needs to be taken into account for future projections of warming induced by human activities.

Dr Andrey Ganopolski, who was involved in the research and on the IPCC’s latest report, admitted their work was controversial with some scientists disagreeing and others agreeing with their findings.

I'd just send them to IKEA Al, they're far too dumb to ever find the way out.

What I see is two men beating up another man because he voted for Trump. Why should they be deported to Syria?

It's a violent crime and they should be charged with assault, but shipping them to Syria is a bit extreme Al. I'm very anti Hillary, but what happened here is not her doing.

More like Obama is the clueless one. Always mutters and hesitates without an autocue in front of him. Remember the euphoria that greeted his victory in 2008? All that dawn of a new era rhetoric. His victory speech promised so much but he has been a massive disappointment. History will remember him as the first black president, but not a great one. Not even a good one.

Trump may have his flaws, but contrast his victory speech with Obama. It's far more pragmatic, talking about fixing and rebuilding. As Ed033 says, the US is a corporation, and Trump is a very capable CEO of a large corporation who is soon going to be running a bigger one. I think his ability to talk off the cuff is a sign that he knows his own mind and isn't crippled by doubt. He is a natural leader, and given a chance might not do a bad job.

I'm not expecting great things from him, but looking at the legacy of his predecessors, he won't have to get out of second gear to improve on their dismal track records.

I'm not sure how he could pardon her before she's been prosecuted. I think this article is highly speculative and not well thought out.

I agree with KP, Hillary would have increased tension between the US and Russia, whereas Trump has shown no interest in this. Trump also will be less likely to endorse an Israeli attack on Iran.

I also hope this marks the beginning of the end of the Clinton political dynasty.

Mayor - Am I speaking Chinese? Quite frankly he may as well be.

You cannot indulge these people. They are intellectually and culturally deficient.

Please post more of these clips Al. We all need to see them.

Not to provoke them with their clothing? That's an incredible message to send out. Appeasement will only end in disaster. If they have their way they will be the dominant culture in Europe. I agree with all three of you.

Isn't this what Syria is all about KP? The US is trying to undermine the ability of Russia to supply Europe with gas, severely denting its cash flow in the process. But Putin's backing of Assad means the US has to come up with other ideas.

More than half of the people killed in the Easter Rising in 1916 were civilians. In the case of North King Street, 17 men were rounded up and killed without trial by British soldiers. Many bodies were burned beyond recognition. It was a typical revenge attack by the British army. Croke Park was another example of random murdering of civilians. You could also add the Dublin and Monaghan bombings of 1974. I'll never forget the sound of those bombs going off. We have some very tragic shared history. Thank you for sharing this Franky. I didn't know about some of the other atrocities.

Animal testing is not used in carbon dating, and the small percentage of clinics you refer to that have different security considerations are not relevant here. Labs that perform carbon dating are easily found, and some labs will even carbon date an item for a fee even for the general public. Not everything is shrouded in secrecy as you would like to make it seem. You don't need to be actively in the academic community to have access to such publications. They are usually subscription based, and easy to access.

If a so called 'John Smith' really did carbon date this aluminium at 250,00 years old, let's see the report, and what journal it is in and when was it published. I look forward to reading his credentials, his report, and most of all how he feels about his credibility being on the line if he really did make that claim.

I already acknowledged to Ed033 that even if it was just a couple of thousand years old it raises questions about who would have been capable of making it.

This type of claim must be subjected to rigorous scientific examination by credible scientists in controlled conditions in an attempt to replicate it's findings. I strongly suspect this will never happen. It makes for a good tabloid headline, nothing more.

That's right Ed001 you have no idea. None of us do.

The 'appropriate publication' you referred to was just a guess, as was KP's ridiculously naive claim that laboratories are rarely publicly named.

Until we have the name of the lab, and the name of the research team who conducted the carbon dating, and the published findings, this claim has no merit.
