Would just like everyone to know that its my birthday this year on the 21-12-85 so I am 27 years old and will be having a badass time coz its technically going to be the end of the world right Mayan calendars and all that well my friend said something very funny to me and it sort of makes sense.
the Mayan calendar does not take into account leap years as these I believe were bought in by the romans so calendars would fit nicely with their festivals. So taking into account the leap year days missed technically their calendar ended last month just thought would share with you im mega bummed out coz for once my 4 day before x-mas birthday people might come out as their not going to be skint buying prezzies.

Just on the Mayan Calendar, It is simply the end of a long count of 5,125 years and in no way foretells the end of the world or any such doomsday scenario. The Mayan calendar is actually more precise than our Gregorian calendar because they viewed time over a greater period than we do. Theirs is also a solar calendar with emphasis placed on the solstices, equinoxes and the new year. Our society is fixated on a lineal concept of time in minutes, hours and days. Something i personally think is used to convince people they must become part of the rat race. However, the Mayans looked to the heavens to both the sun and the stars and viewed time as part of their creation and mythology. Their prophecies have since been joined to the calendar by western society hence the idea of a worlds' end. One of the most plausible explanations for the calendar and the prophecies is that it has to do with precession. This is the wobble of the earth on its axis and adjusts the heavens accordingly. At 1 degree every 72 years it takes about 26,000 for the Earth to go through one precessional cycle. The problem is how could the Mayans be as accurate as they were when society tells us humanity, as we know it, is supposedly only 50,000 years old. Look up the work of John Major Jenkins for greater insight about the Mayan calendar and their prophecies.

A documentary I watched claimed that they were just the begining of our cycle which happens every god million years.
A man made nail was found in a piece of coal now WOW you may say but this implies that people were not just around 36 million years ago or longer who knows but they had the technology to make tool equipment.
There have been recordings in soft mud say where you normally find dino prints and such of human sized shoe prints again 150,000,000 years old how come you may ask.
Well it is of the belief that the human race has not just reached this level of sophisticated technology but we have been here many, many , many times like a sort of cycle ( A groundhog day scenario lasting billions of years ) if you must have it in lamens terms.
And that basically we get so far and through whatever say pollution the earth ceases to exist and catastrophic earth shifting plates and such swallow what was the world as we know it into the centre and basically hits the restart button leaving only a few survivors if any at all to begin all over again.
Check it out these are actual discoveries I think they also found something like a washer inside a diamond how do you explain that.
