Is anyone reading this aware of "The Machine"; as in actual hardware, literally a "Machine" that runs this reality? pea
The only thing the "machine" springs to mind was a black project army private who claimed there was a technique or machine that was so far advanced it was from the future, not sure its the same thing your on about pea.

How would such a machine come to exist? A machine implies a creator.
The universe can also be interpreted as a machine, as specific interactions within the universe give rise to specific effects.
Is this theory an alternative proposition to the "big bang"/"great expansion" theory?

{Ed033's Note - Here is Part 1 of a Red Ice Creations interview with Jim Elvidge that we could be living in a simulated programmed reality. The theory being that in a hundred years or so, we will be able to create a simulated reality. But it is actually more likely that we're already there in the future and we're all living in a simulated reality.

Read a few days about how scientist think the universe could be a hologram , so why not the moon like it has been suggested?
{Ed033's Note - Michael Talbot wrote a book called The Holographic Universe

That may or may not be the same thing the soldier was talking about, franky, I do not know. It could be an allusion to it. They do like to tease us, and skip around the truth.
It's kinda hard to put a beginning or an end to, Zari, though i'd suggest it is additional to 'big bang' and 'expansion-collapse' theories, rather than an alternative.
Wheels within wheels, worlds within worlds, as they say.
The concept of reality being 'hi-jacked' is more along the lines of what i'm thinking.
The idea that "God" is not Creation, but rather some a*shole who has used advanced technology to entrap and enslave souls/spirits/essence and that this is where we do and will continue to exist until it is exposed for what it is. An artificial intelligence that exists in many realms of reality.
Do you know what the old name for Quantum Physics is?
More to follow. pea

Thanks for all the info. I have to do some research on that matter as I haven't really come across it before, other than you mentioning it pea in an older post.
I do not know the older name of quantum physics pea. What is it?
However, I already have an idea on how to test if this is a simulation. Like any computer program, it can never account for the randomness of human behavior and thus on occasions a parameter appears that the program is not equipped to deal with. In that event it crashes, either as a whole or at least in a localized way.

The old name for Quantum Physics is Kabbala - I'm sure you would have worked that out, if you haven't already (science/seance, gosh there's a world of difference there huh?).
I'd be curious to know about your 'tests', what with your (scientific, amongst other things) knowledge and approach, if you don't mind me saying.
The Machine is absolutely, resolutely the number one topic of interest - everything else pales in comparison to it. I've been on it's case (as has everyone with an interest in reality, incidentally, wether or not they knew) for 5 years now; I know that it exists. I used to be reluctant (ish) to talk about it here, but no more. pea

I would imagine a chain of duality bridging effects would be the preferable way to cause overload. The more complex reactions the better, as they would require enormous processing power to emulate/calculate.
Explosion, implosion pairs. An explosive reaction taking place in an implosive reaction, taking place in an explosive reaction and so on. If you create a long enough chain it would be interesting to monitor the results.
Chaos and order pairs. Simple machines like double pendulums, arranged in a circle and observed to see when they tune to each other. Similar cyclical systems tune to each other when in close proximity to one another, much in the same way women who hang out with one another eventually have their periods at the same time. Repeated enough times it should provide useful insights.
Opposite spinning magnetic fields one inside the other could also be employed. This would be easier to create as well. The only issue would be that your coils would have to be identical but reversely powered.
Temperature extremes, sound wave cancellation and amplification, light wave interactions of frequencies on the opposing end of the electromagnetic spectrum etc.
There are boundaries to the material world that when crossed, the effects produced defy currently understood natural laws.
Back to the subject at hand, programs have a difficult time dealing with dualities. Older video games are a good example of this. Trying to pass through a wall was programmed to not be allowed. Density of materials is easy to program in a simple system. Try to pass through the corner formed by two walls and the program had a difficult time calculating the space where the two walls were joint, i. e. the corner, and if you could go through it or not. In a lot of cases you ended up falling outside the designed frame.
High energy, high voltage, high frequency systems are currently hard to predict. Bizarre things do occur when experimenting with them. John Hutchison's work is a prime example.
Having said all these, even Jim Elvidge refers to program defined parameters. All that means is that there are certain rules that guide the creation and destruction of reality, i.e. laws of physics.
We are constantly discovering new fields and improving our understanding of physics. The electric field theory for example will sooner or later evolutionize the world.
None of this means that this is a virtual reality but it neither disproves the simulated reality theory.
As long as we keep challenging the laws of physics we will accomplish the free movement from macrocosm to microcosm, and backwards, go far enough and we will have an answer. Enter the void?
The holographic nature of the universe has been proven. The microcosm/macrocosm duality is evident. All that we need now is to discover the spherical system it belongs to.

Hey pea,
please get back to me on the subject of simulated reality.
You have been researching this subject for 5 years, so that is a decent head start. I would really like to know more about your take on the subject. From what I already knew on computer technology it makes absolute sense, in aspect of possibility and probability.
What further complications would there be? In other words, where does one go from there?
