a few months back, february I think, someone posted regarding some forms to 'see off' debt collection agencies. i'm just wondering how they got on? if the forms are genuine and do work?

my business partner has done a runner, taking a lot of funds with him. looks like i'm going to have to close my business. due to this, I have debts, or will have debts, that I can't manage. they'll take me 20+ years to pay off and I will be defaulted anyway as I can't make the minimum pymts. i'm thinking of just taking the hit on my credit file for 6years. or until I get my hands on my ex-business partner!

any help would be much appreciated

Joe

{Ed001's Note - they worked for me to get rid of some making fraudulent claims against me.}
Not Registered
{Ed033's Note - If you want to view the letters - Letter 1 to debt collector

When they write back, fill in as appropriate and send them Letter 2 to debt collector

Debt collectors typically write back a further 5 times before giving up or passing/selling the alleged debt on.

When they write back, you can either ignore them or send them letter 2 with an updated invoice amount

It's possible that if you have a vehicle registered in your name, a debt collector may attempt to take the vehicle as a lien, so if you're going to do the above, it's best to change the name of the registered keeper.

In a worse case scenario, if you own a house/property in your name that has no mortgage on it, the debt collector may attempt to obtain a 'court' order against the house/property and could succeed if you ignore 'court' letters to you.

I used these and haven't heard back from them, great results. Cheers Ed.
