Is that the one where its buried in the magma? Makes me wonder what else we don't know about the planet.
{Ed001's Note - it is buried in a rock called Ringwoodite. It makes me wonder if Jules Verne really knew something when he said about an underground world. Just wishful thinking, no doubt, but it would be so exciting if we were to discover things living underground. Having water available to them would be key to sustaining life, even if it wasn't life as we would think of it.}

He was a smart man and predicted nuclear power, rockets to the moon and submarines. He either knew something or had a good technical advisor who knew something. Maybe Journey to the Centre of the Earth isn't so far fetched after all. One of my favourite western writers along with Wells.

Kim Philby
{Ed001's Note - he was a scientist, he also was involved with freemasonry, so might well have had access to some hidden knowledge. Though his calculations were sometimes off, he did have a lot of basic knowledge to use. I have always loved Verne's novels myself.}

On the language courses it was encouraged to read western literature so long as they contained no corrupting political philosophy. Also handy for working abroad from blending in from a cultural point of view. You never know what comes up in conversation. I'm a voracious reader myself.

That would explain him. knowing things. I'm not up on the whole freemason thing which is one of the things that drew me to this website.

Some woman once reported she saw giants under some secret catacombs. I can't remember too much about it, but it's an interesting subject.
