Seems someone may have filmed a fireball in the sky around the same time Egyptair 804 disappeared from radar this morning. May not have been the aircraft but this is looking ominously like an explosion of some sort. 66 people on board.

Personal belongings and debris now found, so hopefully we will learn of the cause at some point.
Unfortunate coincidence MS804 disappeared from radar exactly 804 days after MH370.

We're Just regurgitating what the media is saying, It strikes me that they (media) have jumped onto the terrorist thing so quickly! but I suppose that is their forte to jump on the band wagon, not saying it isn't!
If it indeed went down in the way they state, i'm leaning towards a mid air collision due to the fact of the military of all these countries getting involved faster than I have ever seen before. as well as flight data showing steep changes of flight angle before loss on Radar, this could be due to plane falling, but then it would of hit the sea intact and it would be easy to find the debris from satellite or plan. all very puzzling. Just a hypothesis chaps.

It could have been a mid air collision. What strikes me as odd is that it took 30+ hours before a single bit of debris is found, but it's very close to the aircrafts last known location. Also it's a very busy shipping area. If something did hit it, then what was it and who owned it?

Rian that's what jumps out at me, it almost seems they gave the military time to find the debris clear what they wanted up or something of the sort and then let the media have their field day.
On the other hand if a Nato or Russian aircraft had caused this drama in any way, you can be certain either side would have jumped on to it to discredit the other. So I am a bit stumped on this one to be honest, let's just wait and see. It could as much, just be plain as day.
Also want to add condolences to the families if this tragedy is what it is made out to be.
P.s. Are you south African mate? One of my good friends is named Riaan.

I got a bit suspicious when I read there might have been a struggle on the flight deck, once they weren't getting any traction with the terror angle. The fireball in the sky shown on youtube isn't MS804 it seems. Which isn't a surprise.
And yes of course Jonesy condolences to the families. Amongst others, 3 little kids were on board.
I'm Irish btw, have met lots of great people from SA over the years though.
