Ed033 I remember you posted an image relating to the census recently. At the moment we are getting a lot of stuff from them, saying it is compulsory. I have no intention of filling in the form (never do) but the missus is a bit scared not to. Do you fill in census forms, or if not, what do you say to them and what is their reaction?
{Ed033's Note - They put 'Occupier' or 'Householder' on the Envelope don't they? They can't even attempt to 'Fine' you without a Name and Surname, so don't give them any Names.
When i get a Census, i throw it away, but even if i were to send it back Unclaimed. Return To Sender, the same thing happens, they will send another one through the Post and then someone will knock on the door, to try to tell you its the Law to fill it in and if you don't you'll be fined.
At the door, I would then say to them, I'll partially fill it in for 10,000 Euros upfront. (because slavery doesn't exist anymore and we don't have any agreement or contract with the Census, obligating us to fill it in.)
They may try again and say it's the Law and you'll get fined; so you can repeat the same again to them.
What should happen next is they say ok, i'll put you down as a 'refuser' [even though you conditionally accepted and therefore stayed in honour].
And that should be the end of it because if you don't give the Names, then the 'refuser' associated with the address is 'Occupier' or 'Householder'.
If you don't open the door to them, they will go to a neighbour of yours to find out any info about the current 'Occupier' or 'Householder' of your Property.
