How did this conspiracy about the undergroud base in Mexico - dulce i believe, come about, i can't find anything that remotely suggests its existance - lew
Not being funny at all, but on reading the description of the place and the tube shuttle thing my first thought was the intro cut scenes from the pc game Half Life. Maybe based on the actual facility?
Interesting read though thanks.

I've just looked it up on wikipedia (not great source i know but a handy starting point)
"The Dulce Base was the subject of an episode of the History Channel program UFO Hunters. In the second episode of the show's third season, the investigators travelled to Dulce to interview residents, witnesses, and fellow investigators, as well as get a closer look at the Archuleta Mesa, under which the base is reportedly hidden. Although there was evidence of cattle mutilation and several witness reports of seeing UFOs in the area[citation needed], no hard evidence as to the facility's existence was discovered during the investigation.
In a 2011 interview with Jim Harold, creator of UFO Hunters, Bill Birnes, claimed that shortly after the Dulce Base episode aired, the show was immediately canceled from top level executives at History Channel."
"According to Valve, the game Half-Life was based on the Dulce Base lore."
Seems i was right on Half Life then lol

SOme interesting observations there Mort. People wonder why there are conspiracy theories when stories like that simply stink. Why would you pull the programme? And more to the point, how come the programme was made but they didn't manage to get evidence of the existence of the base? Surely if they knew where to look then they could have out that to bed?

Yeah but remembering back to Half Life it was buried in side a mountain and underground.. If the real place is anything like that then i'm guessing it would be very hard to find. Most likely you'd have some sort of "accident"
Im intrigued now.
