Did anyone else watch the end of the U.S open golf and wonder what is going on? How often do you see a professional golfer 3 putt from 12 feet? And now its all come out that dustin johnsons sponsers TaylorMade had a promotion on before the tournament. If D.J. wins at Chambers Bay in June, anyone who buys a new TaylorMade driver between May 18 and June 17 at a PGA Tour Superstore will be refunded for the driver's full price. So, that new R15 ($430) or AeroBurner ($300) could end up being free. Funny how he had a nice 12 foot putt to win the tournament and rolled it past 3 feet. Then could of made a play off and missed from 3 feet! TaylorMade have obviously said to Dustin here is a cheque for £100,000, make sure you don't win so we don't have to refund all the money for the sales we have made.
i watched the golf and I don't think for 1 second that had any effect on why he three putted because he would have not made a birdy on the 17th. plus how many drivers would have been bought? not tens of thousands imo. i put it down to, it was his to lose and the pressure got to him. also those greens were like a round of crazy golf.
