ancient aliens guys anyone believe?DORSET RED {Ed001's Note - do you not think the Mayan beliefs about previous ages are probably closer to the truth than it being ancient aliens? Though both could be correct as well, I guess.}

I spose ed but watchin some of the programs and evidence like the structures you wonder how the hell did they build that with primitve tools.DORSET RED {Ed001's Note - that would be explained by previous ages reaching a higher level of technology before destroying themselves or being destroyed by natural disaster ie a flood. That was the Mayan's belief and it does make sense.}

So would this be the same as atlantis if that was true?never really read much about the mayan beliefs any ideas where i could go.DORSET RED {Ed001's Note - Atlantis is almost certainly tied in with the flood, which would probably tie in with one of the ages ending. Impossible to be sure obviously, everything is theory, but then so is science for that matter, what is scientific fact one day is no longer true the next! I would suggest books are the best place for finding out about Mayan beliefs, check out second hand bookshops they often have some fascinating books in them. Then you can do follow up research online with a better idea of what you want to search for. It is difficult to find things online without the right search terms!}

Ah right ok ed cheers.so do u believe in aliens or more towards the mayan beliefs.DORSET RED {Ed001's Note - I prefer to keep my mind open on the issue, there is not enough evidence to prove or disprove the theory to me. It is always possible, you would have to be seriously insane or incredibly stupid to think that this world is the only inhabited one!}

True best to keep an open mind so many people at work you talk to bout subjects like this just laugh in your face.DORSET RED {Ed001's Note - people laughed when it was suggested the earth revolves around the sun mate. Personally I prefer to try and understand why people hold the beliefs they have, even if they are as ludicrous as religion ;o)}

Religion for me is a another way of controlling people the cause of most if not all wars.DORSET RED {Ed001's Note - I fully and completely agree.}

Don't know if yur stil around Ed oo1, but didn't the bloke behind the A Bomb, Oppenheimer, believe it had been invented beofre based on his reading of ancient Indian texts? And then ther's that civilisation in Pakistan that just vanished and a lot of the ground is just like fused glass, consistant with an atomic detonation? I suppose this is kind of like your older civilisations. {Ed001's Note - yes mate, there are many people who believe that Sodom and Gomorrah's destruction was due to a nuclear bomb as well. It is the only theory that fits with our current understanding of science, though it is possible that it could have been something beyond our understanding as well.}

No fair play Ed never thought of S & G but thinking of the account of it, from my hazy rememberance's of RE, it does seem to fit. Not really sure what could be more destructive than any sort of atomic device, but then probably just as well really. Be handy if we could where it was and something to date it, and if its the same sort of date as tha Inian/ pakistani place then maybe some sort of war in that region perhaps? Literally bombed themselves back to the stone age? Makes you think when we as a species have supposed to have been in existance for 2 million yeras based on the finds but "civilisation has only existed for 12000 years..... {Ed001's Note - there is far too much evidence of supposed stone age people surviving brain surgery etc to make it believable that our civilization only dates back that far.}

Yeah something funny is going on somewhere.

Have you ever read When the Sky Fell, The Atlantis Blueprint by Rand and Rose Flem-Ath ? some of it is a bit crackers but got me thinking. And also some of the source material that Dan Brown read before writing the da Vinci code? Some of that stuff is more nuts than the was, but again does make you think. There is so much stuff that we don't know. Even in our own supposed history. {Ed001's Note - the thing to do with everything you read is to question it. Never take anything at face value, always make your own decision on what is true.}

O i always read newspapers from the back to the front, i know the truth is in the sports section, if it says the score was 2-1 then i know that was true. Lol. All the lies are at the front. {Ed001's Note - I never read a newspaper, I wouldn't even trust them to get the scores correct! You only have to see that Steed Malbranque story to realise they just can't be trusted.}

Well that was fairly sick anyway.

On about S & G was just reading this

halexandria.org/dward194.htm

interesting. Any now my brain hurts so need some mindless brain washing tv and all that subminal messaging. later Ed, don't let them get ya! {Ed001's Note - enjoy mate, nice bit of mindless violence I find helps me clear my mind after reading some of these things! Obviously I mean on the ps3 or pc via a game or a film, not actually going out and inflicting violence. Thought I best point that out.}

My weapon of choice is guitar hero Ed... {Ed001's Note - that is too mindless for even me!!}
