what do u guys think of bigfoot and the lochness monster?

I think they make a lovely couple but i worry about the children.

Seriously i think bigfoot or yeti's are a possibility. Nessie i'm less ure of, to quote Monty Burns "Drain the loch"

Big Foot - yes.

Lochness - No, there's a documentary floating about where they prove it's simply a myth.

The Moon.

Both are bad examples of their 'kinds' if you like.
There are far more likely beasts to exist than Bigfoot in the vastly populated and explored N. America.

Yeti, Orang Pendek (check it out, expedition out in Sumatra as we speak finding decent evidence for it) and so on are more likely to exist in unexplored tropical jungles or inhospitable mountain terrains.

As for Loch Ness, again, check out Champ (Lake Champlain, USA), Ogopogo (Canada), etc.....some of these lakes are absolutely monstrous, we're talking half the size of Wales or bigger.

So yeah, they could exist but there are other supposedly similar creatures that are more plausible.

RED_SKY -

I think there are far more plausible options, just like you.

as for Nessy, well the whole incident with the fake picture for me, seems to put to bed the entire mystery, maybe years ago there was some kind of animal living in the waters but I think we would of found more conclusive evidence in this day and age.

The Moon. {Ed001's Note - it must be remembered that Loch Ness has got channels leading out into the sea, so it is impossible to be 100% sure of anything. It could simply be that a whale once got in and led to the creation of the legend of the monster.}

I believe Yetis exist. Loch Ness, who knows, but footprints don't lie and there have been some wack footprints found in Himalayan areas, bones, you name it. The Yeti, IMO, blatantly exists.

Wasn't there something in the news the other day about some sort of proof in Siberia or was i dreaming?

The Moon / Ed - I agree, the thing about the channels to the ocean is a good point and could explain it.

My actual leaning, weirdly, is that if these lake monsters exist, they might be.....giant unknown molluscs or something.

Bascially, there is a report of something crossing a road towards Loch Ness from back in the day that resembled a grey mass, possibly tentacled but certainly not the definitive 'dinosaur' that some reported.

Similar things have been seen near lake in the USA. What if we have hear a large, maybe 6-10ft long snail/slug/etc, totally unknown to science....it could spend most of its time dormant in the mud at the bottom of the lake, hence the infrequency of sightings and no evidence found by underwater searches.

When it breaches, it would still be a grey mass with a small 'head' on top of a neck of sorts. Just a theory!

Yes, they do claim to be close to finding the yeti in siberia, although I'm sure this has a different name - maybe the Almas or similar. Yeti is Mongolian isn't it?
