Anyone else find David Camerons statement after Gaddafi was murdered a bit hypocritical?
Not all of it obviously, but the part about every victim of the IRA being remembered because they used Libyan Semtex!
Don't we sell arms and what have you to nations across the globe, wether it be guns, artillery etc...

I don't know what it is, but something about the whole Gaddafi thing just bothers me. YES, he should have faced justice, but the way he died was just disgusting.

These rebels ( the ones who captured Gaddafi ) are nothing more than violent thugs, easy to be brave and pistol whip and kick a wounded man when he's alone with no help. Not a very great advert for the soon to be more Western style Libya.

I'm not in anyway saying I think Gaddafi was a good guy, no one in power is, but it just for whatever reason makes me really angry and upset seeing ANYONE lynched like that, especially by a bunch of easy led thugs who acted no better than a pack of starving hyenas.

Peace

Well you have to look at it like this. If you were convinced someone had murdered youre relatives and robbed youre freedoms(as i said convinced because im not theyre i cant really know but these people believe it to be true) would you realy have faith in bringing him to justice by any means other than youre own hand. would u really chance it to higher powers that have failed you over and over

Yeh I think you've got to look at it from a Libyan rebel's perspective and place yourself in their shoes, and as the poster above me has said if someone murdered your wife/child/girlfriend etc. and robbed you of your freedoms and rights, you would want to take the law into your own hands.

U missed all the CIA operatives in the background of the television footage did you ....every american involvement in war is fabricated ....you can go back to the first world war with lusitania , then pearl harbour WW2. the gulf of tonkin incident swayed public opinion in the vietnam war . then we had crimes against humanity for bosnia to finally end eastern european ideologies..and westernise the area ...and the ace card 911...and the war on terror ....u must all understand the biggest profit making industry in the world is for war and not to mention the control of another countries natural resources .....theres just one question i could ask u all to give u a little insight of what occurs .....about 75% of heroin exports come from afganistan ....why havent the all the poppy fields been destroyed in the 10 years that we've occupied the country??? {Ed001's Note - you missed out the invasion of Hawaii.}

In relation to your Afghanistan heroin comment, did you know that heroin production had fallen to almost zero under the Taliban? It's back to full production levels now though. I wonder why the US went in??

Yeah no doubt heroin is the underlying cause for afghanistan. America was in the grips of it largest rate of opiate addiction since nam mostly through painkillers and cheaper black tar from south america. It left alot of blame at the steps of the govt with societal problems stemming from private practice doctors and neighboring countries. Bringing the golden triangle back to heavy production allows the court system to paint the face of addicts as common street level junkies rather than adress a much deeper issue. Admittedly i have a little extra animossity built up on this issue as i washed out of grad school due to opiate addiction developed through a car accident. i take full responsibility for my actions but as a promising student that is now a convicted felon working as a golf course attendant i hold this issue very dear
