What does everyone think of Gaddafi and NATO's continued ventures into africa and the middle east?

I'm currently preparing a presentation to my college about why Gaddafi wasn't as bad as the western leaders and press have made him out to be. Obviously their are some bad points to him but when you look at the larger picture of what he actually did for his people in terms of education and free health care, electricity, water etc then i think it out ways the bad he did.

Haven't got too much to say about NATO but i hear a lot about how these 'operations' in the middle east are just to serve their own purposes and allow the usa to box in russia?

Obviously can't use this site as a quotable source but if anyone has any links or ideas on the subject please get involved. thanks

Yes gaddafi was a very nice man, just misunderstood is all

Did you know gaddafi was trying to create an african currency of gold dinars, and was going to make the west pay for their oil in this new currency? Similar to saddam who demanded oil be paid for in euros not dollars.

He was due to receive a human rights related nobel peace prize in march.

Ps, yes, that comes from the same UN who put a price on his head.
