Global temperatures haven't increased in 15 years so the term Global Warming has been / is being replaced by Climate Change. The planet may well be going through one of its cycles and man may even be speeding things up slightly but the whole thing is about money. I'm not saying that investing in renewable energy is a bad thing but we should be investing in preparing for possible change rather than wasting cash trying to address / prevent change.
{Ed033's Note - Al Gore received a Nobel Prize for making a speech that relied on a professor that has allegedly been caught putting out false data in the past. Around 30,000 people including PHDs attempted to sue Al Gore because of the false information in his "global warming" data.
If the carbon tax ever comes in, Al Gore will become a multi billionaire and almost all companies will not be able to continue to operate because of the carbon taxes. The only companies about will be about will be a few huge corporations owned by the ruling class because these huge corporations' carbon tax will be paid for by us.
In addition our potential lifestyle will go back to how it was before the industrial revolution.
Carbon dioxide is beneficial as it make plants grow. We could do with more of it.
Global temperatures have apparently actually gone down over the past 9 years.
Allegedly, the ice on one side of Antarctica has shrunk but on the other side has increased. And the side with the increase has grown more than the side that has shrunk. But the mass media only show us the side that has shrunk.
When you see chunks of ice falling off glaciers it's probably because the glacier has grown and the over hanging ice sheet's weight is too heavy under gravity so it falls off.}
Ed - Am I right in saying that SEPA and EA are non profit organisations if so it begs the question where does the money go.
{Ed033's Note - Where does the money go. I would suggest that with a lot of organisations, the money goes into a private trust and the beneficiaries of that trust get to receive the benefits of the trust and the more money the trust has, the more benefits the beneficiaries receive.}
