whats everyone's thoughts on charlie bronson being banged up for forty years?i have signed a petition for him to be released.

{Ed001's Note - why? Anyone dumb enough to change their name to Charles Bronson to make themselves seem harder and to continously get into trouble, so stretching out their sentence, really has only themselves to blame for being inside for such a long time.}

Didn't he originally only get something like ten years for armed robbery then get more added on for being a knob, I agree with ed, its his fault.
{Ed001's Note - anyway, he was a violent offender, so hardly someone to worry about.}

My thoughts are not condoning what he has done in the past is, he has done forty years behind bars, he has never killed anyone never sexually messed around with anyone, he has had a run in with the establishment and fought with them physically and now for the last ten years or so he has fought with them threw the courts and petitions, he illegally gets moved around from prison to prison without any explanation and still in solitary confinement after all these years, the media perception of him is always going to be bad, let's look what he done when no doubt he was a ill man and let's look at rapist /pedos who do a fraction of the time he has done, let's not forget he embarrassed HM prison with the banners and the setting fire to the roof many years ago and they are still trying to make a example of him.
{Ed001's Note - sorry but he was a violent offender with a history of continued violence, I really don't see the relevance to any other case. It is ridiculous to say a vicious man like that should be out just because some others get off lightly. The problem isn't that the thug here is being treated too harshly, it is that others are getting away with it.}

Although I've seen the biopic, I've never read the wpedia page about him until now.

Not sure if I can post a quote here, but my favourite line by far is:

On remand in Woodhill he took a civilian librarian hostage, and demanded an inflatable doll, a helicopter and a cup of tea from police negotiators.

He seems like he probably wouldn't be able to cope with life outside.

Ryan.

For nearly twenty years CB has gone threw legal loopholes trying to get his case heard and I have been following his case for a while and even thou at the time he was mentally ill he never killed/abused anyone, he abused the system he abused the establishment and to be honest edd I find it astounding you buy into the thug/vicious man even now, and I am sorry but there is a relevance which is my whole point, if everyone done what CB did and done 40 years fine I will accept it but they don't in fact I am struggling to think of anyone who has done a long stretch without killing anyone, conclusion he was attacking the establishment of this country while he was sick and to this day he is getting shafted, Jesus Christ nelson Mandela was a sane person when he was part of a group that killed people then done his time now is lauded as one of the greatest leaders, before anyone judges take the time to read in his case and how he is getting messed around because he basically retaliated against prison officers which was unheard of in the 70/80s, I am sorry edd I am completely the opposite of your views.
{Ed001's Note - he was a violent offender to begin with franky, sorry if I don't believe him when he tries to claim he is just attacking the establishment. I am quite sure he has suffered at the hands of the guards, but he the fact remains all prisoners do, yet it is his only him who has gone through all this. You seem to be believing everything he is trying to claim, I simply don't. I have known enough people like him, always ready to blame someone else for their problems, when it is always them that cause the problems by looking for the easy way out.}

He was a ill person a schizophrenic if you will, and its not a case I believe in everything he says and its pity me pleas, we will go around in circles edd alls I suggest is people interested in this topic do not take the official spiel that is fed and don't take my beliefs read up on why they will not grant him a hearing and are continuously moving from prison to prison without any reason then you can draw your own conclusion.
