Original poster here, what do you think ed??? {Ed001's Note - the problem with the idea of it being a pirate treasure is that it is a bit away from where a pirate would want to hide anything. Especially as pirates were not really much of ones for burying treasure, despite the legends, they were far too busy spending their money on whoring, boozing and their ships. I would say it has to be something else, though what that could be I am unsure.}

The engineering of the booby traps involved are far more advanced then simple pirates , i think the knights templer have something hidden down there

Yerr original poster again here, i was thinking knights templar but what would the hide?? grail or ark of the covenant? {Ed001's Note - it could just as easily pre-date them, but they do seem to be the likeliest candidates, after all their rumoured treasure vanished. They were fabulously wealthy as a group, but when they were attacked by the French, their vaults were empty and most people believe that they had enough warning to smuggle out their treasure. It could easily be anywhere, if that is true.}

I have not properly read up on this tbh just little bits that there is something down there and no one has found it, what sort of booby traps are there down there ed?

{Ed033's Note - I don't know what sort of booby traps there are but multiple attempts have been made to dig out with machines and possibly if there is anything down there, the inbuilt "anti -theft systems" have worked so far and whatever is there is possibly now even harder to get at.}

Im not certain on the details but it seems that tunnels and canals have been built so that when they have excavated a certain level if will flood , making it impossible to continue i think is the prominent booby trap
