I was showing my wife some information regarding the MK Ultra program at the Menlo Park Veterans Hospital when my wife stumbled upon an book called "Weird Scenes Inside the Canyon" which is about the beginning of the hippie movement in Laurel Canyon (near LA in California for all of you not familiar). After about 5 minutes she called me over to the laptop and told me "I think you might want to see this". What I read was quite astonishing.

Laurel Canyon boasts some of the most famous musical acts for the 60's/70's; The Doors, The Byrds, Buffalo Springfield, Frank Zappa, The Mama's & The Papa's, Mickey Dolenz, etc. Now that in itself is not odd but what this book painted was very odd. The majority of people from that scene come from a military/industrial background. While that is not weird, when the dots start connecting it paints an odd picture; Jim Morrison & Gail Zappa were in the same kindergarten class. Jim Morrison, John Phillips & Cass Elliot went to the same high school. Frank Zappas' father worked at Edgewood Arsenal (known for chemical warfare & MK Ultra). David Crosby & John Philips fathers worked together in Haiti while the country was under US military occupation. The list of coincidences of all of these people getting together is too long to list.

The gist of the book was that the birth of the hippie movement was manufactured to give less meaning to the protests of academia towards the war. As well as to usher in a "drug age" which is going on in america today.

I was wondering if anyone (Ed002?) had heard/read anything like this before?

http://www.davesweb.cnchost.com/nwsltr93.html

{Ed002's Note - These were all folks who were out of the LA area or migrated to the LA area and they were all born around the time of the second world war. It would not be unlike connecting the dots between the families of the Beatles or any of the British bands where they got together as teens. The High School thing is simply there being a finite number of high schools in any city - none of them would have known each other back then due to the significant age difference. I spent one summer in the Hollywood Hills and Lauren Canyon (1974) when my girlfriend and I got a little involved with the Source Family and Father Yod. It was a cool place to be at the time. If a little weird.}

We had a good discussion on this quite recently, should be able to find it in the search engine. Not sure what to make of the whole theory but it sure made for interesting reading and there are some compelling links. Wasn't Jim Morrison's dad on the boat involved in the infamous Gulf of Tonkin false flag attack?

I had no idea about the back story to that event and the possible connection to 7/7. Would be interested in anything else you find on this Ed033. Thanks.

back from a little trip away, reading a few interesting posts underneath as for Chupacabra being a genetic experiment, a tough one, from recollection most of the sightings are in south america and logic would tell you that we could mutate a animal than going down the alien route, so my vote would be yes its a genetic experiment.

Franky

Yes mate, the original sightings of the Chupacabras came from South America, Puerto Rico etc before spreading to the south of the USA. Texas, New Mexico etc.

The original creature was consistently described and definitely evokes images of a hybrid kind of animal. The confusion nowadays is that whenever a coyote or feral dog with severe mange is killed, it's called a Chupacabras, so people are just dismissing ALL sightings as being of mangey dogs.

When the original sightings seemed to describe something more like a bat/insect sort of creature.

If you have time, look into the 'Texas Blue Dogs'. I find this quite interesting, it seems to be a different creature altogether with a large population reported in some instances.

I've read theories that it's some kind of hybrid of feral dog/coyote/Mexican hairless dog.

Ed001, I remember a while back you said the western world has a skewed view of Ghangis Khan. Can you elaborate when time permits.

Cheers mate

Melbourne CFC

{Ed001's Note - I will give a quick overview of my reasoning for it now.
First off we are told he was bad because of the mass slaughters he perpetrated. The problem with this viewpoint is that it is conveniently forgotten that he was in an age when those kind of slaughters were commonplace. Also that the Western rulers were less discriminate about who they killed, whereas he would only allow his armies to wipe out those cities that stood against him as a way of getting the next city in line to think twice. Those that didn't stand up to him would be treated with respect and left in place. Contrast that to crusading armies from the West, the Knightly orders would just rape and pillage regardless when they came to foreign cities.

Also it must be remembered that he had no intention of invading the West, he only conquered China due to the knowledge that they would not allow the Mongols to stand as a single nation. Once that was done he had settled down in the capital Karakorum to create a nation, with laws and writing etc, and was looking to establish peaceful ties with surrounding nations. It was the Persians decision to send back the head off his diplomat that caused the Mongol horde to descend upon the West.

His intentions were to create a lasting Mongol nation, not a Mongol empire, that was forced upon him. He wanted to keep his people safe, to create a way of life that wouldn't subject his own people to suffering the way he had to as a child. He wanted to create laws to protect people, he wanted to educate his people to enable them to learn from the mistakes of the past. It can clearly be seen the strong legacy he left as hundreds of years later his influence was still felt around the world. We all know of the Ming Dynasty in China, but how many know that was his line of descent? As late as WW2 the Cossacks were still basing their whole way of life on what Genghis had left behind there.

Then there was his morals. They weren't the same as a modern day code of ethics, no. He can certainly be considered uncouth and vulgar by modern standards, but he had morals and beliefs that he stood by. While most other people were happy to use the assassin cult when it suited them, he wiped them off the face off the map, for instance.

We call Alexander the Great in the West, despite him being responsible for great slaughters as he conquered himself an empire. We think of Genghis Khan as a bloodthirsty tyrant despite him conquering an empire almost by default and it encompassing an area that makes Alexander's seem like a petty princedom by comparison. It seems odd that we demonise one and laud the other.}

Found that really interesting Ed001, thanks, historical revisionism is a subject I enjoy looking into and I intend to invest in a book or two on the subject soon.

I've read/watched a few things on the world wars and holocaust that really opened my eyes but it's difficult to debate with most people for fear of being labelled a traitor or nutter! I've even steered clear of bringing certain subjects up on here for fear of offending people or causing a stir, which is sad really.

Harold
{Ed001's Note - history is a subject that fascinates me, I used to have an extensive library of books built up over the years before a pipe burst and ruined the lot. In many Eastern countries, Alexander 'the Great' is their version of the boogeyman that they use to frighten kids into behaving. Oh and he was not undefeated in battle as has been said, only in pitched battles. It was the constant minor defeats in small skirmishes that led his army to revolt on him. Little more than ambushes by the local peoples, who would hit his forces then fade away into the countryside, but it destroyed his army's morale and lost him the war.}

Very interesting. Most major international incidents are seen from numerous different angles, depending on what part of the world you were educated in, it seems. A clear sign that brainwashing works if ever we needed one!

Interesting Ed. Very true regards the Cossacks. And in the eastern oblasts by the yellow peril he is still the boogeyman. Any other facts you would like to share?

Kim Philby
{Ed001's Note - I can't think of anything off the top of my head. I can recommend the book 'Storm From The East' as a good starting point to learn about Genghis though. It is only a short book, so it does tend to rush through things a bit, but it is an interesting read to get a more balanced view of the Mongols.}

What is all of the latest talk of aliens? I have read numerous posts claiming that USA will announce contact within the next 18 months. Barack Obama will become spokesman for Earth as the most "powerful" man. I believe that it is a hoax and it will be technology developed by the elitist.

I can recall over the last 20+ years several occasions when we were to imminently expect an announcement regarding extra terrestrial life. Heck, wasn't the closing ceremony of the 2012 Olympics going to see a UFO land on top of the stadium, announcing London as the new Zion?

Ain't going to happen. We sheep will be kept in the dark for another century or more.

Don't know much about Morgellons Syndrome but what I have read up on all the symptoms seem to be a part of everyday life for a lot of people. ie the aches and pains, skin itching, rashes mental problems the list goes on. first I heard about it was from today's poll. there doesn't seem to be a answer as to why it happens. would like to hear more though.

{Ed033's Note - According to people on the radio programs I've listened to, Morgellons syndrome is an engineered life form that probably infests all of us without us knowing about it but in some people the life from comes to the skin surface and causes legions. The life forms seem to be self replicating multi coloured fibres. These fibres have allegedly been found in the chem trails that we are being sprayed with.

a quick post about ukip getting more votes and now Cameron addressing he will have to listen to the public more after the results,

this is a agenda ukip are a hard line tory party with the same agenda as the tories ie attack the poor and look after the elite, in other words they have let ukip to do there dirty work and now are jumping in saying "ok guys if that's what you want we will give what you want"

the sheep are brainwashed looking to blame Abdul or a Bulgarian family for there problems when the problems lay straight at the houses of Parliament,

ever asked the question how come ukip get the media attention it does?because its a agenda, if the nha party (i voted for) or the green party got the same media then fair enough but it gets a tiny tiny fraction of press, I wonder if many of you have heard of the nha party, which is my point, we are going down a scary road with these racists and do not be blinded by they are for the british people they are for the elite and corporations the same principles to break up the nhs and bedroom tax etc, times will get much darker if these snakes get anymore publicity,
right wife moaning, off in the car, adios amigos.

Think you're VERY wrong to call UKIP racist. UKIP aren't a racist party, they do have some racist members - but so do all parties! I challenge you to find a geuine RACIST part of their manifestos - surely wanting independence from EU and control over our own boarders is no more racist than Scotland wanting Independence from the UK? After all, majority of people who say UKIP are racist only say that because it's what the media says so, or did before Thursday. I mean come on, I always thought you guys on here were all big on the cooperate companies, media, political parties brainwashing people?

Oh I missed out the NHS part - UKIP have never actually said they want to privatise it - it was the view of Nutall in a blog that a fully nationalised NHS is not sustainable in the current climate, which is his OPINION! Not the view of the party, although I do agree with him. He was widely misquoted on that, as has many other UKIP members, but of course some are guilty of being racist and have rightly been booted out

What about lord Monchton, president of the UKIP party who quotes "the Scots are subsidy junkies whining like a trampled bagpipe as they wait for their next fix of English taxpayers money"

That I think is racist, they are also morally questionable.

Geoffrey Clarke who is hoping to win a seat at Kent County Council quotes " compulsory abortion for children with downs system or spina bifida as they would be a burden if born"

Class act these guys

Im sorry but ukip are not a racist party never have been and never will be. It seems to me if you can't win an arguement against them just shout racist and you win by default. Although I don't agree with Lord Monchton's comments I will argue that they are not racist in the slightest, its all a bit tongue and cheek!

Lord Monkton was however correct. All these things like free higher education come from where? Scotland is less than 10 % of the population of Britain.

And the nhs in its current form is unsustainable. Given an aging population, with more old people who live longer, massive cancer rates and new expensive drugs being developed all the time the demand for money is always on the rise. More and more of every penny Britain makes goes into the nhs and the welfare state. It is unsustainable. Eventually at some point funding both will take the majority of your countries gdp.

That's the anti eu argument, that money saved from Brussels could go on the nhs. Eventually even that will run out.

i think area 51 has been a smokescreen since lazar came out with all those allegations, before that I do think it was used for ufo/alien materiel.

the only reason I have doubts about lazar is history tells us that if you have a whistle blower with that type of info either gets killed jailed or ends up in prison, I can point to a parallel between bob lazar and Phil Schneider both claimed of UFO bases and alien contact, one hit the media worldwide the other I only found out about ten years ago, add to the mix Phil Schneider kills him self after hanging himself with his hands tied and stating numerous times on video that he thinks he will get murdered, drifting off the subject but it makes sense everyone over the world looking at area 51 around that time as other bases like dulce carry on with there programs, another thing is how many of you heard of new bases by whistle blowers today? we are always ten years or so before we hear of new bases, that's m y take on this subject, anyways guys I am off on a trip with family and friends till friday, adios amigos.

{Ed033's Note - I think Bob Lazar was told to keep quiet or else (according to his friend John Lear) and then he did keep quiet after that, however Phil Schneider never kept quiet and kept going.
frankyscouser
Maybe so edd but Lear also went public with his version of area 51, even thou at the time that got me interested in this subject I think things had died down there and it suited the elitist that we were talking about UFO (like the post jk92 suggested underneath)

if you look at the 1970s till now first contact was saturated with movies /tv/radio/magazines so there was a agenda to let the public know that there is a possibility that contact might have been made and in my opinion this suited there purpose.

1 let the public know we have made contact with aliens even thou they will deny it.

2 everyone is drawn to area 51 when in all probability the juicy stuff has got moved to places like dulce.

3 even thou lazar is a bit of a recluse now and will not talk about anything, it has not gone away in fact its got bigger and bigger.

4 to lazar was either two things, either he was a disinfo agent or he got used to draw attention to dreamland.
