Oddly enough I saw odd lights in the sky too. I live in Loughborough in the East mids though. We had a massive crack of Thunder, the loudest I've ever heard, then a huge crash of lightning, then for about ten minutes after, there were odd blue and green lights fading in and out and darting everywhere in the sky. Idk if this was some sort of residual electricity but I too couldn't video them because they didn't show up.

Going back to an earlier post. I wrk for Tesco and the amount of food waste in just my store is unbelievable. Every nite, all the fresh bread not sold in the day gets wasted, at least 20 bin bags full. And the store I work in is not even a 24 hr store, its one of the smaller ones. So Imagine wot the bigger stores waste. Also let's just say, in my store not all the horse meat contaminated stock got destroyed. The frozen stock was took off the shelves and kept in the warehouse freezer until it all blew over then got put back out. And that's just the start. I could b here all day tellin U wot goes on. Workin for tesco really opened my eyes as to wot goes on. I dnt even shop in the store where I wrk.

frankyscouser
Does not surprise me, back in the day I worked in sayers and since that day I have never eat there again, it shows you how major businesses work were they rather destroy food than give it out in the street for the needy.

In the midland we have company called jack fultons who sell food past there Best before date. nothing wrong with the food.

if the food says:

best before - you can sill eat it years after its just advised it may taste better befor the printed date.

use by - means don't eat after that date.

Yeah it's the same here in Ireland, my dad works as a bin man and the amount of wasted food there is shops like Aldi and tesco with 4-5 full 1100 litre bins (the big commercial bins) with food that's good, then you have all these 3rd world countries starving because of our "1st world" personries

It doesn't help with all the offers they have on, buy 2 for 1. On the same news item was this woman going through her fridge. "o here's the corn on the cob I bought this week and here's last weeks which I never used. " Why buy it then! "because it was cheap. "

You pay £2 for one or £3 for two when it is probably overpriced at £1. 50 to begin with, and you don't need two but it's bad economics not to! I get the feeling that if we were all to pour a cup of tea onto tesco we could slowly dissolve it like the slab of sugar that it is. pea

Alright lads, I'm trying to write an anthology of short horror and sci-fi stories, and I'd like to do a bit more reading. Can anyone link me to any particular good sources for 'strange beast' encounters, sci-fi-ish conspiracy theories and stories please? :)

Tesco have announced that they wasted 30,000 tonnes of food in the first six months of this year. That is absolutely atrocious considering that people are using food banks and yet there is that much food going to waste in our country (only 1 retailer). Wouldn't it be financially beneficial to both Tesco and the government to reach an agreement with edible food to be distributed towards those who use food banks or fine companies for wasting viable produce. There are countless positives that could be achieved from this as most of the foods were perishable, why not provide people with the fruit and veg to help meet their 5 a day, which could help in the fight against obesity in children and adults. Tesco runs a few schemes in conjunction with the government for tax breaks so this is not too far fetched. Needless to say that this option will not be looked at as it could affect Tecso's profits and government back handers.

Seeing as they are already reporting goods thrown away as losses, it would probably work the other way around. Tesco would start buying lowest quality edibles and selling them to the government for profit or giving them to the government and writing them off as bigger losses (lying about the true costs to them).
We are better off by disallowing them to write wasted food as losses, which in turn would force them to buy only what they sell or actually incur those losses.
This system is madness I tell you.

To add to my comment.
The world health organization reports that enough food is produced on this planet to feed 12 to 13 billion people.
With 1/3 of this worlds population being under-nourished it is evident that the current way of handling resources has failed. We've seen governance achieve the same pitiful results, simply because power in so few hands breeds and invites corruption.
We need to restore that long lost feeling of distributive justice to the world. I believe the way to achieve that would be through participatory democracy, the only type of democracy.

It's very difficult to buy anything "out of date" now from any food or drink supplier probably due to legal issues. As stupid as it sounds I bet if tesco's gave any say "out of date" product to a food bank, someone then say got ill potentially from the product even though free then the supplier could still be potentially liable. Even though in theory it is a commendable idea, the potential for a situation arising for a supermarket would be their biggest fear, especially if it's one of their own labelled products. But yes the particularly high volume as franky says could also be attributed to the horsemeat scandal. Which again was handled badly. If the food is ok and tested "bute" free then surely it could have been directed to people who needed it.

Having read that book I am left with more questions than answers.
Why would all the alien species be humanoids? They look more like chimeras than aliens to me. Humans with reptilian, cephalopod, bovine etc. characteristics.
Also, how would they transform? I cannot see bones changing their structure on whim. If it is a case of consciously altering specific energy's vibrations then why use a body in the first place and not remain as an energetic form? If on the other hand it's a case of telepathically projecting the desired image of the self, why project one in the first place and not remain invisible?

America is in shambles, something is clearly going to happen soon. Too many things happening, they need to cover up the actual problems

Thoughts?

Aron

frankyscouser
The problems in america have been predicted since the 1980s,
one of the reasons why it has not happened sooner is the many wars for oil and colonisation but the collapse of the usa will happen sooner than later, will there be another false flag event?i will say yes, will it make any difference?not really because we are waking up.

Who's to say it will collapse? Its had these problems for years going back to the mid 60's or earlier. Hasn't collapsed yet. And their not all gun toting cowboys, look at the opposition Bush got. I think America is like a corporation, it was set up to produce a set result. It won't be dismantled until that result and its successor is ready. And I think its still a way off.

Just because america have survived trying times in the past does not mean]
it will ok in the future, one of the main factors the usa got out of the great depression was ww2 and the same thing in the 60s was the vietnam war, this time its different the usa have been in some type of wars in the middle east since the 1990s and they are trillions and trillions in debt plus you have to be suspicious of a government that puts drones in the sky also invades the privacy of its people add buying 30 years worth of military arms for the there new style police, the dollar is not going to recover its will only get worse, its not if but when.

Franky they were already coming out of the Depression by the late 30's. Sure the war gave them a manufacturing boost but they were getting that anyway from Lend-Lease and didn't need to enter the war militarily. The war gave them a massive technological boost (atomic energy, rockets, jets, microwaves, m&ms) and of course gave them financial and political leadership of the supposed free world courtesy of Bretton Woods.

As for Vietnam i'm not so sure that counts, they wasn't in debt all that much at the start, whereas compared by the end they were massively so. The big earners from Vietnam were the corporations. Lockheed, Bell etc made fortunes off government contracts.

The government lost out financially and politically. The withdrawal and admittance that they couldn't win and the escalations both into Laos and of the bombing campaign cost them support both at home and around the world. Socially speaking it scarred America for 2 generations and its only really in this one that they've come to terms with it.

Admittedly now they've managed to put themselves financially back into the same position as 1931 and this time they can't risk a big global war to generate $$$ as the tech has moved on massively. So they've tried to stick to regional bush wars (no pun intended) instead and it hasn't quite worked.

Worrying stuff is going on over there with the FEMA camps, buying of arms, the erosion of civil liberties etc. But who says the dollar won't recover, nothing is certain in economics. And they've always spied on is people, all governments do and its probably worse in lot of other countries.

I think the other guy just means the secret dudes who runs things haven't finished with project America yet. I tend to view it as a long term experiment, how bad can they let things get before people kick off.

America or the US is a corporatocracy. Democracy in the US is a slight of hand, it's an illusion. As long as oil is valued and traded in dollars the US is reasonably safe. But those days are numbered.

Watched the first part. this is amazing. but when were we able to translate the symbols and are they 100% right with what they mean?

5 more parts to watch.
{Ed033's Note - In part 1 of the video, the hieroglyphics on the 2 walls are possibly from 2 different times.

1. is 4600 years ago where an egyptian group came from Egypt to Australia and wrote egyptian proto-hieroglyphics (the first known egyptian writing) which we think we know how to translate 90% of those hieroglyphics because of the rosetta stone.

2. contains hieroglyphics from an allegedly much earlier time, probably wrote there by the original people of Australia, whereby only 44% of the hieroglyphics are possibly known to us.

The guy in the video, steven strong is in communication with some of the tribes of the original people of Australia and they are drip feeding him some of what they know. He's trying to put it all together using the hieroglyphics we think we know how to translate (from the rosetta stone translations) with the knowledge received by the original people of Australia.

I was watching gi Joe retaliation yesterday, the super weapon the bad guys have, I was wondering how feasible that is. They basically have a load of satellites and they drop a tungsten rod from space which is supposed to go 8 times faster than a bullet, massive blast wave on impact and no fallout or radiation. So is that feasible? Would that be some of the black tech secret space program stuff that their likely to have? I know its a bad film but all tech in films is based on reality.
