In fairness to JQuan, I like reading his quotes as long as they tie in with themes on here. I think it was JQuan who was putting up quotes the other day of things like Kennedy's speech that got him shot, that sort of thing, and as long as it is topical I like it. I think by using the quote he/she is telling us his/her own way what stance they have don't you think. That is how academics do it.... they never say 'I think', they just collate things that peers have said that have been academically acknowledged and forward them, and the reader then divulges what the person thinks.

Jquan I guess others think it would be nice to hear your own opinion but don't stop the quotes!

Padawan!

Fair play to you mate, you're spot on. Couldn't have worded that better myself.
The site explains at the top not to take anything to seriously.
No one here is trying to make people believe anything, just stating our theories to see what other like minded people think!
Each to their own I say, attacking people for their beliefs is just wrong!
Grow up Chris wee man!

Peace

1) Little thing called evolution
2) I have no idea and neither do you and yet you choose to take the aliens option as explanation
3) Again I'm not really sure without doing some research but weren't the sumerians one of, if not, the first civilisations? That being the case would it not make sense that they may have influenced what came after?
4) I happen to think there are very serious conspiracies going on between governments and major corporations all over the world that are damaging all of us. Unfortunately this site seems to have forgotten about these minor irritations and instead wants to focus on complete bloody fruitcake talk about gods and bloody aliens.
Here's a question for you if aliens have been/ are visiting us why can't they just be open about it and say hello? Why so coy? It's the one simple and obvious question that the "believers" can never answer. There's a reason for that!

Personally I find quotes much more insightful, and believe them to be a much greater source for info than mere opinion. don't get me wrong, I'm not saying that opinion doesn't matter, it does. Everyone is entitled to the own opinion. However, it is based on their own perception. Why not put out a quote and allow people to make up their own minds. {Ed001's Note - what he meant was to post your insight into the quote, rather than just the quote. The quotes are interesting, but so is learning what someone else gets from them.}

Well Chris, that's quite a post, can't help but feel a little bewildered by it.

In fact, I DO believe there's every chance that we haven't been visited, like you said, there seems to be a lack of evidence to support that theory.
For you to say I'm scared though, that we could be all there is, couldn't be further from the truth. You see my friend, WE CAN'T BE ALL THERE IS! there MUST be someone/thing out there. When you look at it this way, we are here, so we are the best evidence of intelligent life! The vastness of the universe is unknown, it's too huge for it not to support life elsewhere. We are only in one galaxy, there are billions of galaxy's out there, so life must exist out there buddy!

Also, I'm not simple minded mate, dont get me wrong, im not trying to say I'm very intelligent either, but I can hold my own in any company! and I'm pretty sure if you'd seen all my posts, you'd realise that.
Thing is, I'm not as rash or offensive as you, in fact, I feel for you as I do for every other human being on the planet. And those feelings are positive and love my friend. You see, I'm the type that couldn't give a flying f*** what others think of me, my theory's of my look on life.
I see us as a species of beauty and mystery, and cherish my time here on earth with all my brothers and sisters. Because wether you like it or not, we are all the same, regardless of our different beliefs.
I like that you speak your mind, it shows character, even though we'll never agree on anything probably. It doesn't bother me. You won't find any harsh words from me brother!

Peace

Jay

You need to read a little more carefully I actually said " you are too simple minded" not "you are ALL too simple minded" I was only talking to one person. Not that the facts will bother you, you've already been brainwashed to believe a bloody fairy story so I think I will apply the "simple minded" statement to you as well.

Chris in Tamworth {Ed001's Note - you do realise that most fairy stories were based on true stories don't you Chris? Or are you too simple minded to grasp that? I really fail to understand why you even visit this site, if you don't like footie you wouldn't go on a footie site. So why waste my time with your petty little childish digs at people with a different belief from yourself? You offer absolutely nothing of value with your nasty little comments, so please stop or I will have to ban you from here.}

You are all too "simple minded" to realize this?

What a sweeping statment?

I think the poster of the first line above protests too much in the opposite direction of a God and has some serious pent up issues?

I wish the poster gods grace I hope all these issues about god are resolved, I hope god decends upon this poster to heal the devisions within

Yeah, I totally feel that may just be the case, that the ancients weren't as primitive as we are told.
Have you seen the Cargo Cult? Amazing stuff!

To the other Tamworth guy, who has an apocalypse every Saturday at 3am?
I'm sure it wasn't the Sumerians, they were too bright. Or maybe what you're sayin is true, but was mistranslated, like I said, the Sumerians were very bright and came from the cradle of culture and civilisation!'

Jay you know your stuff no doubt and I am not trying to pretend I know more than you but the simple fact is that everything in which you believe is mere speculation and a one sided version of historical events. It is just as likely, in fact much more likely (although you'll never admit it)
that aliens have never visited our planet. Anybody can make a group of facts or statistics look like whatever they want if the look hard enough, ley lines are a perfect example as is the Torah code. My argument is that when there is a lack of real evidence for something and a lot of evidence against something it is time to take a pragmatic approach and just use some common sense. Something that, despite all the obvious intelligence on this site, is sadly lacking.
As for your "don't be frightened because you don't understand" remark I think you are the one that is frightened. Frightened that there is no great mystery, no alien power, no divine intervention, maybe you're frightened to accept that maybe, just maybe this is all there is. Personally I think you are too "simple minded" to realise this.

From an above post

I thought the anunnaki were a group
of gods? In the same way that the Greek gods were immortal deities. In other words imaginary beings that simple people believed in because they didn't know any better.

Chris in Tamworth

IF these simple people who believe in a god as so stupid (or don't know any better when obviously they should?) why does it trouble you so much?

Why do you feel compelled to be so offensive?

Just asking?

Depends on how you search Mate

Try using dogpile.com

and + or - to add or remove things you don't want?

Can really blame the search engines if you don't know how to use them?

Yeah heard this too, sure I seen it on ancient aliens.
No one can say for sure how they knew, but they did. I find things like that fascinating. Thanks for reminding me of that, I'll be looking that up!

Peace

Jay {Ed001's Note - it is little things like that which make me think the Mayan belief in the Ages of Man might make sense. In that humanity reached advanced levels in the past before destroying itself and reverting to stone age level technology. That would explain the numerous stone age finds of skeletons with evidence of surviving complicated surgical procedures. I am sure there are numerous other theories that could fit as well, but that is the one I think makes the most sense based on my own reading.}
