Relating to ed001 Polish neighbour, my grandad was Polish and was forced into Siberia when the Russians came in, he and a few hundred others walked from Siberia to turkey to meet up with the British army, who he fought with before being allowed to come back to England

The holocaust certainly happened, i must agree in the beleif the death tolls were exagerated to help alterior motives that were around. This does not mean that it makes it any better. Macedonian people have been suffering this for money years in Southern Macedonia(Northern Greece), at the hands of Greeks.Macedonians were killed for speaking their own language, beleiving their own beleifs, and were forced to change names to Greek surnames or forced out of their homes or killed. This has been happening for the last 100 years, but with protection from the monarchy it is not well known about. Also there is no monetary or political gains for antone to care....and that my friends is the be all and all of it....It comes down to money & power always!

Hi mort, enjoyed the rant but 12 million?
I'm not disputing the fact that it happened but the scale I which it happened. And I agree ed that its not important as any deaths in this manner are horrendous irregardless whether they're Jewish or a priest or anybody.
The fact of the matter is anybody asking this question whether it be in a forum or anywhere they get castigated for it like I have from a few people on here.
As for Ahmadinejad, watch any interview you can where he's asked about his comments regarding the holocaust. He's never said it didn't happen but repeatedly wants simple answers to simple questions. Why isn't anyone in Europe allowed to research properly the Events that happened.
Why are people so protective over what happened?

Just want to commend frankiescouse LP and ed 001 for being able to contribute to a difficult subject with a rational mind and without taking petty offence to any of it. It's people like you that make this site worth visiting

I lived for years by a Polish neighbour, as a kid I remember him telling me about some of the things he went through. Being a child I was just amazed that he started off in the Polish army, got conscripted into the German army and then defected and joined the British army. But looking back on it now, it must have been horrific to have lived through it.}

Mort no one is disputing the fact the Holocaust as you put it was a horrifying disgusting act no matter what numbers died but as you probably know there has to be a agenda , putting Israel in Palestine was like putting a red rag to a bull, it does not take a scientist to work out why the powers that be wanted to create a new nation in the middle east, can anyone explain to me after being persecuted by the Nazis for nearly ten years why the hell would Jewish people feel any safer in the middle east?finally mort i do think there was a agenda like i mentioned Stalin committed genocide the world took no notice, Saddam Hussein done it when he was in the good books of the western powers and nothing was done,always have and always will have to be something in it for the elite to go to war.

There were some powerful rich people opposed to the federal reserve system on board. The group that wanted the federal reserve brought in, wanted these people out of the way. Possibly part of the plan was to have an assassin on board assassinate these powerful rich people opposed to the federal reserve system.

Ed1 priests did end up in camps for opposing the nazi's, certainly several Lutheran priests did. I was jusy saying that not everyone who got killed was Jewish. A lot was political opponents etc, anyone who asked qustions. Ypu can even count the White Rose and the army conspirators as victimes, some people do. Mort {Ed001's Note - but the priests were not persecuted for being priests, that was political opponents who happened to be priests.}

The 1 question I have is that if it was a set up then how come so many of the rich got killed, the likes of Guggenheim and so on? No-one at the time would have been bothered about all the poor people in steerage, and they wasn't at the time of the sinking, but killing millionaires?

If anything the figures involved are too low, some historians reckon the figure could be much higher.

Also bear in the mind the people involved in the holocaust wasn't just Jews, it also included the mental/ physical disabled, socialist and communist opposition, priests, anyone who p'd the Nazi's off went off to camps.

Stee, originally the plan was to just drive them out of Germany, preferably out of Europe altogether. Hence stuff like Kristallnacht and the Nuremburg laws, anything to humiliate and deman them to the point where they said enough is enough i'm leaving and then they charged them to leave the country, not exactly leaving with all their assets as property was confiscated when they left and the fee's they had to pay to emigrate. The majority of this cash is still in Swiss banks which the Swiss deny exist!

By 1940 with the war going and borders closed emmigration was no longer an option. Throw in the 3 million Jews in occupied Poland, most of whom were poor and the thinking started to change.

Figures were kept on an estimate of how many Jews in Europe were around, its in the only surviving copy of the Wannsee documents. Incidentally, i suggest watching the Kenneth Branagh film "Conspiracy" again based on the surviving conference notes.

Concentration camp inmates provided cheap labour that could be exploited. Everything that could be used was used. There were experiments to render human fat to make soap, hair was collected to make winter clothing for troops or felt boots for uboat crews.

12 million people are supposed to have died in the holocaust, 6 million of these Jewish. These figures seem credible and yet are small beer compared to Stalins near 30 years holocaust of the Soviets whch killed easily twice as many people.

I find the whole notion of the figures being "falsified to get the masses to sympathise" extremely distasteful. It happened, whether it was 6 million or 600,000 it is still a horrifying disgusting act which elicits sympathy from every decent human being.

By all means question events, as i said some historians still dispute the figure, i've seen estimates from 6 million up to 18 million people (thats everyone not just the Jews) 12 million is the accepted figure. Records in eastern Europe were poor and a lot were lost in the war.

But to swallow stuff from people like amedinejad who clearly has an agenda on the behalf of his masters, the clerics, then thats just believing a different set of propaganda.

Whatever jab/immunisation you get, you are injected with a small amount of the disease (maybe using the wrong word there), which apparently readies your body for any future attacks from whichever disease you are being immunised from. As an example AIDS is supposed to be a man made virus for use as population control.
